Don Sergio, a very warm welcoming place with friendly staff that clearly love what they do and give you their full attention. The beef tartar was nice but not special in any way, a really good caesar salad, and steak .. well maybe wouldn't order that again, even though the meat origin and quality was very good, the cut was very fatty and the cooked meat not as enjoyable as maybe in a steakhouse. The server listened to a lot of our wishes and made accommodations to satisfy us which was very kind. He also brought us a free dessert which is the biggest sign of hospitality! This restaurant was about 10 mins walk from my hotel. Due to their good reviews, my partner and I thought we would check it out. Pizzas seemed like a popular thing but for dinner we decided to try the sizzling Rib Eye Grill and Grilled Calamari. We were not disappointed! The rib eye was juicy and tender. The baked potatoes were a good combination. The grilled calamari was cooked just right, nice and tender. The mashed potato was flavoursome and not too dry. Ein Lichtblick in der immer dünkler werdenden Welt der Pizza. Ich bin zwar kein Fanatiker der vorschreibt wie eine Pizza zu sein hat oder was darauf gehört. Meine bescheidene und immer werdende Prämisse ist, das die Pizza einfach gut sein soll. Ein immer größer werdendes Problem, dem die Pizzeria 'Don Sergio" erfolgreich gute Qualität entgegen setzt. Ich hatte mir eine Pizza Provenciale gegönnt, aber keine Sorge, minimalisten sind genauso gut bedient. Die Pizza war mit richtigem Käse (Mozzarella) und nicht mit diesem unerträglichen unechten Pizzakäse, der Schinken, war kein Toastschinken, die Tomatensauce war scheinbar selbst gewürzt und es war frischer Basilikum darauf. Mit Aufpreis von 1,50 gab es schwarzen Teig, kannte ich nicht, war aber gut. Das Personal war durchgängig freundlich, was mich aber wirklich begeisterte, war das ich endlich eine Pizzeria fand, in der man richtig gemütlich mit einem Date oder mit seinem Kind essen gehen könnte. Als Vater ist Pizza doch noch gelegentlich ein Thema und Qualität ist es immer, aber was Pizza betrifft wird die Quantität ein immer größerer Problem.
