This is the best burger in Austria, hands-down. A true burger joint, and not some yuppy, over-priced, trying-to-be hip burger restaurant. I give it my Texan stamp of approval. The burger is juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. I can't say enough about the bun, which is usually my pet peeve. I notice other yuppy burger restaurants in Austria (or really in Europe) give you a dried up, over-grilled, flavorles bun, but not this place! The whole sandwich is "correct," I would say. There is the right amount of cheese, bacon, and sauce. Not too little that you can't taste it, and not so much that it's dribbling up your sleeve and you can't lift the burger but have to eat it with a fork (blah). The sauces they provide on the side are great too. No boring ketchup (but you could get it too, if you want). The fries are also flavorful, perfectly salted and delicious - and I don't even like fries, normally. Also, the tap beer is quenching, and they have a cozy wood stove in the winter. The Tuscan chicken sandwich is also amazing, but I don't have time to get into it. Ignore the other busier burger restaurants in Vienna and just go here. I've been there many times, and it's...
Read moreI visited without a reservation during a cool afternoon. I enjoyed the Nikolsdorferburger and Cordon Bleu (Hähnchen/chicken), which reflect the pride of this place that has been around for over 20 years. The fries were very crispy and flavorful, and the burger's filling, including the meat patty and sautéed onions, blended well together. The accompanying sauce was also delicious. The salad, made with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce tossed in an olive oil-based dressing, was outstanding. The owner and the staff (doing his summer vacation internship) were very friendly and attentive to customers' needs. There is a wide variety of drinks, including coffee, and I recommend the Starobrno beer. It has a light and sweet taste, characterized by a pleasant beer aroma. Card payment and delivery sevices on app are...
Read moreThis restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It took a while to get there from where we were, but it was well worth the wait. The prices are amazing for what one gets and the food is really first class. The restaurant was run by one person. He was super friendly and spoke very good German.
My wife had the carbonara. She said it was one of the best carbonara she had ever had.
I was also very impressed with the cordon bleu. It came with two sauces, ketchup and some sort of sour cream sauce. It went great with the cordon bleu.
We had a fantastic time and the lone member of staff was very attentive to our needs and cooked a fantastic meal. I would definitely recommend that...
