Pronto Volante — Local services in Vienna

Premise and summary: food is good here but attitude of the cashier/waitress is awful.

Placed an order and paid immediately at the counter and tipped in bona fide. The staff cashier mistakes the order and brings the wrong food out. After notifying that the ordered food was different from what was provided, the cashier/waitress first YELLS at me that what I ordered was not on the menu. When I point out using the menu what I ordered she sustains it was wrongly written in the menu. When I asked how can this be, she said that that anyway they did not have it and if she has to, she will bring it back. As I already paid, I did not want to waste food and she offered no alternative I decided to keep the item. While it is totally ok that mistakes can happen, what enraged me was the annoyed and entitled attitude of the cashier. The other 6 people of my group were sincerely shocked and embarrassed of what happened. Not sure of any of us will come back after this.

Everyone can have a bad day. It's hard to say why, but yesterday in Volante we experienced the worst customer treatment in Vienna in years. Ordering takeaway pizza and then changing plans and eating the pizza inside was not possible for the stuff. In the middle of dinner, we were literally kicked out of the restaurant, with our table being pulled away from us and the waitress referring to "problems in our heads". It could be great. Trendy, simple, quick. But please take the time to cut the freaking pizza. First time we got pizza here it was not cut at all. Insane. Second time I asked for it to be cut, they said of course. It was cut in four pieces and the prosciutto crude slapped on it like there was no tomorrow. Kind of gross. I mean. Breathe. A few seconds more prep time would make for a pizza one would actually want to order again....
