Finn Wien - Restaurant & Catering - WU Wien — Restaurant in Vienna

Today my friend and I visited this restaurant on WU campus, which I was looking forward to, but it turned out to be a thoroughly disappointing and frustrating experience, to say the least. From the onset, the service was lackluster. We were seated and left unattended for 15 minutes without menus, and it was evident that the restaurant wasn't even at its peak hours because half the tables were empty. Attempting to signal we need service, we were met with a very unfriendly response from a waitress who just stopped and loudly asked "What would you like? My hands are full" after which she went inside without serving us at all.

The situation escalated from bad to worse when, after another 10 minutes, a different waiter finally approached us, who seemed perplexed by our order attempts using the menu from their Google page – which apparently wasn't in use. This confusion led to a further delay.

When our food finally arrived after 20 more minutes, the disappointment continued. The drinks were passable, but the food was bland, tasteless and quite overpriced. Then, we experienced another delay of 15 minutes just to pay the bill, in a nearly empty restaurant. Probably the angry waitress did not want approach us...

This experience was not just disappointing but also astonishingly poor in terms of service and food quality. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment and will actively dissuade others from visiting. A place that lacks basic customer service skills and serves subpar food at inflated prices is certainly not worth your...

I give it 1 because there is no 0. We went there for a company Christmas party after reserving in advance. You could see from the beginning that the place was understaffed and the waiters were overwhelmed. The drinks and food took quite a long time and when we ordered the second round of drinks, nothing came. At a point we went downstairs to pick our drinks...The way the waiter treated our group was very insulting. He used a very inappropriate tone to tell us that no extra wishes (like removing a tomato from the burger) will be fulfilled since the cook is alone in the kitchen. During the second round of drinks he cursed us downstairs by the bar and told us that if he hears any more complaints we can pay and leave. We wanted to do that but then the food arrived. The burger was bad, the patty was like a piece of rubber and nothing tasted good. A few people never received their dishes although they were on the bill. We needed to have a discussion with the waiter in order to remove those dishes from the bill and he literally threw the bill in our face for us to pay it. Mein Freund und ich waren anlässlich unseres vierten Jahrestages bei Finn essen, um einen schönen Abend zu verbringen. Es war unser erster Besuch in dem Lokal.

Vorab haben wir uns online die Speisekarte angesehen und uns auf leckeres Sushi gefreut. Die Freude wurde leider zu nichte gemacht als es vor Ort hieß der Sushi-Koch sei krank und Sushi gäbe es heute nicht - gut, kann passieren, ein Hinweis auf der Website wäre aber nett gewesen.

Wir haben uns dann für zwei den Gyoza-Mix, Jalapeno Poppers und die Vegane Bowl sowie die Lachs Bowl entschieden. Goyza und Jalapenos waren ok - aber vermutlich nicht selbst gemacht, da diese nach nicht mal 5 Minuten serviert waren. Geschmacklich aber einwandfrei!

Die beiden Bowls waren leider eine herbe Enttäuschung! Die vegane Bowl besteht lt. Speisekarte aus: Salat, mariniertem Tofu, Grillgemüse, Falafel, Süßkartoffel, Avocado-Salat, Edamame, Paprika, Gurken und Reisbällchen. Bekommen haben wir allerdings was komplett Anderes: 2/3 der Bowl waren reiner unmarinierter Eisbergsalat, es waren sehr viele grüne Oliven drinnen (kamen in der Karte nicht vor), dafür war der Tofu ein unmarinierter vollkommen geschmackloser kalter Naturtofu, das Grillgemüse waren 4 Scheiben komplett kalte Zucchini ohne den Hauch von Grillspuren oder Gewürz, Süßkartoffel hat komplett gefehlt, dafür gab's aber Bulgur (?!), Paprika war original ein "Radl", "Gurke" 3 gehobelte Scheiben Salatgurke, "Avocado-Salat" war ne viertel geschnittene unbearbeitete Avocado.. Generell war alles ungewürzt und unmariniert. Die Falafel waren eindeutig ein Fertigprodukt, das nicht mal angebraten oder aufgewärmt war, auch die waren komplett kalt als hätte sie jemand im Supermarkt gekauft und vergessen die Zubereitung auf der Rückseite nachzulesen und zu erhitzen. Die Reisbällchen haben gestimmt und waren ok!

Lachs-Bowl hätte sein sollen: Salat, Lachs-Tataki, Reisbällchen, Radieschen, Karotte, Gurke, Edamame, Wasabi, Avocado, Miso-Dressing. Lachs war ok, Dressing keines vorhanden (auch keine Gewürze), Radieschen hat gefehlt, "Karotte" war ein Hauch von Karotten-Salat, Wasabi hat gefehlt, dafür gabs wieder sehr viele auf der Karte verschwiegene grüne Oliven und Eisbergsalat, der die Bowl volumensmäßig gefüllt hat. Nicht so komplett daneben wie die vegane Bowl, aber auch sehr schwach für 15€ ..

Die Tischnachbarin haben zufälligerweise auch die vegane Bowl bestellt und wo, wie die beiden in der Bowl herumgesucht haben, waren sie wohl ähnlich begeistert wie wir...

Wir haben die Kellnerin darauf hingewiesen, die allerdings auch ein wenig hilflos war und meinte sie bespricht es in der Küche. Rückmeldung aus der Küche "Wir wussten auch nicht, dass seit neuestem Süßkartoffel in der veganen Bowl sein soll". Die restliche Kritik wurde dezent ignoriert.. Was ich der Kellnerin allerdings sehr zugute halten möchte - und das war die einzige positive Erfahrung an dem Essen - war, dass sie uns zur Kompensation Sekt und einen kostenlosen Brownie angeboten hat, der tatsächlich ganz gut war.

Insgesamt war die Erfahrung leider komplett enttäuschend und wir werden garantiert nie wieder...
