Sweet little coffee shop with a small but very good variety of coffee beans, good coffee and delicious cake. If they had some option to wash hands, heated the shop in winter and exchanged bean packages with reclosable ones as almost all roasting shops use, they totally were five stars. positive: - friendly staff; - good coffee and delicious cake; - beans to take away with detailed information regarding taste, nuances and roasting (250 gr., 500 gr.); - packages show roasting date and best before-date; - vegan alternatives to milk (such as soy- or almond milk); - cool location in the middle of the Prater adventure park; - tables to sit outside. negative: - no bathroom, no sanitizers, no hand washing possible before having something to drink/eat; just 3 or 4 tiny tables (each for 2 persons) in the interior; - For the premium price, the bean packages should be reclosable! They are not in a sealed package (once opened, you cannot close the package again). - In November, it’s REALLY cold inside the shop - we did not see any heating system nor did we feel any. 🥶 Too cool is no cool! - self service only.

It’s surprising how a place so close to the noisy excitement of Prater can offer such a calm, inviting space to sit and enjoy a coffee in peace. Once you see their outdoor seating, with its lush green and quaint wood, you will understand. Not only coffee enthusiasts will be happy here - though of course, they will get to enjoy a wide variety of coffee options both traditional and unconventional, all made with care and expertise. Very delicious. Also on offer are ice teas and lemonades, which are a bit on the artificially sweet side. Even if you stop by just to browse their great selection of coffee and tea accessoires, maybe a cookie or candy, it will have been worth your while.

Loved visiting Wiener Rösthaus daily during our time in Vienna. The coffee is delicious - enjoyed trying a Melange for the first time - and the staff was friendly and super helpful. They have a phenomenal variety of beans available to buy and the staff is happy to help answer questions, or even grind beans for you onsite if you want. The interior is beautiful as well. It’s to-go only in winter but looks to have outside seating for other seasons. Definitely will return on our next visit to Vienna!

Came for a morning coffee. The coffee is fine, and we were asked about our preferred milk.

There was a fly on one of the cakes, behind glass. We mentioned this, and was corrected on which sort of cake the fly sat on. It was waved away, and happily returned to the correctly named cake.

The cakes (supposedly apple and definitely banana) were not to my liking, but this is nothing to complain about. More of a warning to other foreigners maybe used to something else. These are a bit dry and compact, and heavy on the almonds.

So the fly, the lack of apple taste, and prioritizing correct cake name over fly swatting made this review an unhappy one.

Sorry and good luck, having a Tivoli next door surely...
