Noodle King — Restaurant in Vienna

Best sushi I’ve found in Europe so far and some of the cheapest. €15 is enough for me to be completely full and I’m a big eater. The salmon is the best I’ve had in Europe and that’s coming from an Aussie (which means a lot for seafood).

Highly recommend the “Sushi Set Gross” in Salmon (10 nigiri and 4 mini sushi rolls for €10.90). Delicious.

Just be aware that they only have one small bench to sit at and it gets pretty busy and full so it feels like you’ll be pressed up against everyone while sitting. Recommend just going to grab some takeaway and eating it elsewhere (there are park benches nearby).

Also - it’s reasonably fast paced so if you find choosing meals stressful, make your decisions on the full menu that’s printed on the outside of the shop then go in, as they’ll likely ask for your order straight away.

Being a non-native speaker, I couldn’t read the menu, and the three guys at the counter clearly couldn’t care less. Instead of helping me figure out what to order or how best to choose items from the menu, they were busy cracking jokes among themselves. The cashier, who seemed allergic to politeness, charged me extra for two teaspoons of sauce. When I finally opened the meal back at my hotel, I found bland and sad pieces of chicken tossed on top of a lonely lump of rice — no veggies, no sauce, no love. The food was bland and drier than a desert in July and almost impossible to eat.
