Peter's Gulyas Beisl — Restaurant in Vienna

Finally went there for the Schnitzeltag with Viennese Schnitzel for 7.8 Eur as opposed to 10.30 Eur what it costs on other days. As I was waiting for my takeaway order I was soaking up the atmosphere of the this typical Viennese Beisl filled with elderly locals looking for a good lunch deal.

The Schnitzel was great (there were in fact 2 pieces) and so was the salad but I must admit the Schnitzel seemed a bit too oily at first. It did not leave any bad aftertaste though so I have to say I was quite happy with my choice. Especially on Wednesday this is an unbeatable deal not to mention their lunch deal including a main and a soup for less than 10 eur.

If I am craving Austrian cuisine again I may pay...

Dieses Lokal ist ein Gewinn für die "echte Wiener" Gastronomie. Gut, das Lokal sieht aussen und innen sehr schlicht aus, aber die Speisen schmecken echt toll. Vater (in der Küche) und Tochter (Kellnerin) wissen genau was sie tun. Die Bestellungen werden schnell serviert (auch wenn das Lokal voll ist) und aus der Küche kommt immer ein super delikates essen serviert. Sogar wenn es "halbes Grillhuhn" gab, es fiel von den Knochen = lange garzeit = klug vorbereitet. Und Gulash... oder Schnitzel... einfach WOW! (Ich sprich von 3 Jahren Erfahrung!) Ja, die Einrichtung in den beiden Zimmern könnte ansprechender sein, aber es ist wirklich alles auf Genuss getrimmt. Und eine hin-und-wieder-mal-kleine-Unterhaltung mit der bezaubernten Kellnerin lässt einem das Ambiente schnell mal vergessen, denn man hat gut gespeist und gut getrunken, und das zu einem echt moderaten Preis. Ich hoffe Ihr bleibt...
