Rather small place, and the customers were all neighborhood regulars when I visited, but don’t let that dissuade you. Some obvious care in the selection they offer: the Grüner Veltliner was fine and the Sturm (both white and red) better than I’ve had at most Heurige. Oh, and the bartender/waitress was a total sweetheart.
I didn’t have anything from the small menu of small things to eat, and I didn’t have any beer — they have a beer from the Waldviertel on tap as well as about three dozen different bottled/canned beers. Seems rather a shame that almost all of the regulars were drinking Salzburger Stiegl — which is by no means a bad beer, but heck, considering the available selection…

Read moreDespite the name what's best here are the beers of which they have a great selection from all over the world. They do have local wines too that are quite good. I tried a Catnutum cuvee and found it very agreeable. The place is otherwise small cosy and intimate and clearly has an enthusiatic crowd of regulars. The service was good and friendly. Highly recommended - only given 4 stars because I don't want it to be flooded by 5 star tourists. I would prefer it to be frequented by discerning guests who go aas far as reading reviews...
