Restaurant Chinatown — Restaurant in Vienna

We’ve been coming here pretty much every month for over 2 years now and after trying at least 4 other hotpot places, this has remained our favourite. I honestly don’t understand how the rating is so low. The server is a very sweet woman who always welcomes us back for each visit since the beginning. She serves the whole restaurant by herself every night we’ve been there and was especially helpful when our dexterity was lacking (it’s just so difficult to get the udon noodles out!). After trying so many different hotpot restaurants, we’ve discovered that having the biggest variety doesn’t equal having the best offer. From the sauces to the meat, fish and vegetable bar and the noodle selection, after I think over 50 years in business, they really have it down perfectly. We’ve been going there for over 2 years and we’ll definitely be coming...

Starters are ok. Sadly the hotpot is poor. The meat selection is extremely small. You have a choice of beef, beef in triangle or beef with onions. They also had in 2 tiny prawns on a stick or a slither of chicken on a stick. Atleast the taste of the meat was ok. As i wasn’t satisfied with the hotpot I wanted to order more starters but the staff run past your table so fast it’s hard to get their attention. They should do delivery, the food would be there in no time. Not all bad though, you can get one of your 5 a day as a piece of orange is the only option for a desert for some reason. Very cheeky to say it’s easily 70€...

The experience to have a grill plate and hot pot right after is great. You can choose which you want to start with and can get as much food as you can eat. If you order/ cook to much and leave as waste, you'll have to pay that, which is fair. Service was really busy and at some point we didn't even see her for quite a while...
