Café Orient — Restaurant in Vienna

When I arrived, I didn’t realize that there was only one person managing everything—taking orders, cooking, and serving. He assured me he’d take my order in 2 minutes, but I ended up waiting 30 minutes just to place it. To make matters worse, he got my order completely wrong. At that point, I didn’t even care because I was too hungry to argue.

I also noticed he had a card payment terminal, and delivery drivers were picking up food, indicating online orders were an option. However, after waiting another 20 minutes to pay, he told me he only accepted cash. I then had to spend another hour finding an ATM to get cash.

The whole experience was frustrating. The man was visibly stressed and in a rush the entire time, which completely ruined...

Too price it for the amout of food and not honest service. They had some sort of problem in the kitchen and they did not have falafel but they just told us when we wanted to order the food. This is something that you say before you sit on the table. Then we order and we encounter really tiny portions, you would need to order two dishes to have a real meal. When the bill came we paid the same price as if the falafel would have been there. They did not have the courtesy to invite us for a baklava or something. Super disappointed, I will...

Popped into Cafe Orient off the street for a coffee and some baklava, the coffee was lovely and baklava was very tasty, and we received excellent service from our host. Mateus (our barista) was very friendly and helpful, and is a real credit to the business. He was very happy to answer our questions.
