I was in Los Mexicas on Saturday 15 the Feb 2025, it was a nightmare! There is only one waitress for the whole local, he has to take the orders, bring food and drinks, and pick up also the table after someone is going. I was waiting too long for make an order when the waitress said that they don't have anymore long glasses, ok I said, don't worry, but then also wait quite long time for taking an order, the starter came but then we waited more than 40 min for the second plates and only mine arrived, the other one didn't arrive it until I finished my dish, that also happens with the other tables, we didn't enjoy the night at all, we were there around 6 pm and we could leave around 8.40 pm. The service is not bad, the waitress was nice and polite, but how they organize is the problem ,more service personal. The toilette is a disgrace, the tables also, the chairs are not comfortable, the table distribution is so close to another, it is necessary to close the local and remodeled it. Also necessary in winter to hang a curtain on the door, if you have the table beside the entrance, every time someone open the door, you will get a strong cold air. Close the local now to offer a better service and location for summer. There are also other places to rent in Lange Gasse/ Floriani Gasse for example, check please a new place with more space and necessary more personal to attend the tables, the food is delicious but not possible...

The decorations instantly transport you to Mexico, and you can watch the chef working behind the counter, adding to the experience. If you visit on the weekend, the smell of barbacoa fills the air, making the whole place even more inviting.
SERVICE 3/5: The service is great—friendly and accommodating. Even when we reserved for fewer people, they helped us find space for more without any issue. However, be aware that English is not their strongest language; it’s much easier to communicate in German or Spanish. The biggest downside for me? They don’t accept card payments, which in this day and age is a real inconvenience. Despite this, the overall experience has been good enough that I’ve already come back twice.
FOOD 4/5: The food is solid—not the absolute best I’ve ever had, but definitely one of the best Mexican spots I’ve found in Vienna so far. Their margaritas are divine, an absolute must-try! If you go, make sure it’s on the weekend so you can enjoy their incredible barbacoa.
Overall, this is a great spot for authentic Mexican flavors in Vienna. While the no-card policy is a drawback, the atmosphere, food, and drinks make it well...
Read moreComing from Norway with high standards on food, I was so dissappointed with this restaurant. Don't get fooled with the reviews here, Austrians apparantly don't travel much and don't know how Mexican food should be served. I love Mexican food, and always get big portions, but surprisingly not here.
This restaurant had a strange vibe only one cook, takes ages to get food. I was waiting for 30 min to get a quesedilla no kitchen, the food was prepared right next to the cashier, reminded me of those food trucks the cooking lady didn't seem to follow hygiene when preparing food lack of service: no questions about how the food tasted, if I would like to order something more, and not even a goodbye or "thank you for your visit", no eye contact or a smile when the waitress passed by me the restaurant is located in a boring street, nothing to do or see, no other restaurants nearby paid 13 EUR for one tortilla, a spoon of guacamole and a spoon of chopped tomatoes (literally, just one spoon)
Conclusion: bad, really...
