As an unexpected treat, we uncovered a speakeasy hidden like a gem in the depths of the establishment. A peek into this secret space revealed an atmosphere ripe with the promise of intimate encounters and fine drinks – an invitation we plan to accept upon our return.

Our meal began with a classic – Fish and Chips. The dish was a decent nod to traditional fare, with crispy batter enveloping the tender fish, partnered with a hearty serving of chips, all complemented by a zesty tartar sauce and a refreshing pint of Magners. For dessert, we shared a slice of lemon cake, a zingy endnote to the meal, its citrusy essence paired with a dollop of cream, a light yet indulgent treat to share.

Das Ambiente in diesem Pub wäre eigentlich ganz okay, aber leider lässt das Service und der Gedanke "Kunde ist König" sehr zu wünschen übrig.

Wir haben für das Champions League Finale einen Tisch reserviert, mit Blick auf den Fernseher. Der Tisch war so positioniert, dass man 90 Grad nach oben schauen musste, um annähernd was zu sehen.

Wir haben dann was zu Essen bestellt, aber nach 1 1/4 Stunden warten, wurde von uns das Essen abbestellt, da wir es als Unangebracht erachteten, dass das Essen so lange dauert. Das wurde dann auch vom Verantwortlichen akzeptiert und eingesehen.

Wir hatten 2 Runden, jeweils 6 Bier, konsumiert. Und damit auch keine Unstimmigkeiten entstehen, wurde die Rechnung auch von mir bezahlt. Habe sogar noch Trinkgeld gegeben...in Summe 80 Euro.

Der Verantwortliche schmetterte mir statt 20 Euro Retour (ich hab 2x 50 Euro) einen 50er hin, aber für mich war es wichtig, dass die Konsumation bezahlt ist, und somit teilte ich ihm mit, dass ich 20 Euro Retour haben möchte. Das geschah dann auch so.

Im Nachhinein habe ich erfahren, das ein Mitbeteiligter bereits die erste Runde bezahlt hatte, somit habe ich die 1. Runde doppelt gezahlt. Aber das ist anscheinend in der Hektik untergegangen.

Wie auch immer, ich kann diese Bar nicht empfehlen, da es hier anscheinend nicht möglich ist Differenzen sachlich zu beseitigen.

Schade. Für mich war es wichtig, dass die offenen Rechnungen bezahlt wurden und laut Verantwortlichen die Sache mit den bestellten Essen erledigt war. Er hatte Einsicht, dass eine Essensbestellung nicht solange dauern darf.

Trotzdem schade, dass die 1. Runde doppelt verrechnet wurde, aber so hat er vielleicht die Burger, welche ja NICHT konsumiert wurden und auch nicht rechtzeitig serviert wurden, wieder herinnen.

Überforderung dürfte hier ausschlaggebend gewesen sein. Ich kann verstehen, dass man bei so einem Event, wie das Champions League Finale, die "Hütte" voll haben möchte. Aber, wenn dass dann auf Kosten des Service geht, dann sollte man sich vielleicht was anderes überlegen.

Ich hoffe, die Kritik ist sachlich "rüber gekommen". Ich will ja niemanden einen schlechten Ruf verpassen. Das waren meine persönlichen Eindrücke, die ich in dieser Rezension einfach wiedergeben möchte.

Über eine Antwort bzw. Stellungnahme zu meiner Rezension des Inhabers des Pubs würde ich mich natürlich freuen, dann das sollte ja Sinn eines...

Some weeks ago gave it 3.5-4 starts, see below, then visited again today. This is what happened, as told in this order: no, not possible to order fries with your drinks. Only as a side to some other dish (note: it's a pub). Apparently, it's a new management decision... no, it's not possible to swap a toast bread for a burger bun on our 15eur chicken sandwich. The chef said 'no' (note: it's an Irish pub).

Finally got "fish" and chips. See the pics, chip trumps the fish. Taste: 0. There you have it. 19eur!!
