This place might look appealing from the outside and judging by the 4,6 reviews here, but don't be fooled.

The Japanese chicken curry we ordered ended up being something completely else. It was a mush of 90% rice with very little curry (which only consisted of zucchinis), for some reason it had around 3-4 pieces of chicken on it despite the name of the dish clearly saying curry with chicken. No salt, nothing. It was pretty difficult to eat.

The waitress didn't bother giving us any silverware with the curry so we had to eat it with chopsticks. I couldn't even ask for them, because of the way she immediately disappeared after hurriedly bringing people their food. Speaking of the waitress, she was also very rude. I have utmost respect for people who work in the service, but how is it acceptable to keep sighing annoyingly and frowning like it's the worst day of your life whenever customers want to order something? She kept talking in an annoyed tone matching her facial expressions and it ruined the mood of the entire atmosphere even though we just walked in.

Around the end, we got ignored by her for like 10 minutes despite the clear indications of wanting to pay. As she stood with her back to us, I ended up telling her politely that we want to pay and the waitress looked at me very annoyed once again and ended up saying "Ja, ja" and started complaining in front of the entire quiet restaurant with the customers still around about how she cannot even put a band aid on her finger in peace. Mind you, I would've completely understood it if she told me to wait a second or that she's busy right now, but to reply like this to a customer who wasn't even doing anything mean is just rude.

In generally, this place was a huge disappointment. Taste wise 0/10, service wise 0/10. I wish I could give it zero...

I am half Japanese, so I am very picky when it comes to Japanese food. This place is really not great. The miso soup had hardly anything in it, just a piece of potato and bits of onions. The "yakitori don" was very sweet, which I didn't care for. The service was slow and the waitress didn't have enough change money when we wanted to pay. She had to go back to the cashier to get money so that we could finally pay the bill. They also charged water from the tap although this was not written on the menu. I felt completely ambushed and I am pretty sure you are not allowed to add extra costs on the bill if it's not written in the menu, but I didn't want to argue, so instead, I just decided to not leave a tip. Regardless of what's on the menu, I also think it's wrong for restaurants to charge for tap water when tap water is free and of good quality. This is not always the case in Vienna, but in some touristy places it happens and it makes me furious. People working restaurants and in cafes should really be ashamed of themselves and think this policy over. Is it fair for people who have chronicle diseases or doing chemo, therefore only allowed to drink water (no alcohol, no sugar/no juice, no caffeine) to be charged for water, especially considering it would otherwise be free? Is it normal for parents with children to beg for free water when there is a heatwave in summer? I could get free water in the toilet if I want to. I get free water whenever I order coffee, but I have to pay for water if I only drink water? It's ridiculous! Lastly, the restaurant is super small and we can only keep a reservation for one hour. This is also unpleasant and unnecessary pressure that is put on the client that can't relax and enjoy their food. I will never go back in this...

As Sushi and Sashimi lover I've never encountered as bland as this... We visited this Restaurant based on recommendation and reviews on Mother's Day....Food presentation is great like any other I saw in photos review. I'm not here to jeopardize them but to make awareness. They should have warned the customer that they serve a unique taste of their Sushis ...It was fitted to their international clients taste and was approved from a Michelin Chef as okay( their explanation.) I never doubt the freshness of the food they serve. I just ask if they don't have rice wine/ vinegar anymore thus I need to add a lot of wasabi so that I can taste my sushi. I also asked if they always serve Miso soup with carrots and green. If the other one is Cellery, it could be fatal for me because of my Allergy. To make it up they let me taste another form of Sushi. It's teriyaki sushi, rice is warm and they seasoned the fish right. Explanation accepted hence I can only give them 2⭐ for failing to inform the client of their unique...

Cute little japanese Restaurant close to the city center. We sat outside which was a bit loud next to the busy street. As a vegan I was happy to see that they have several specifically labeled vegan options. I had the Tofu Don and my friend and I shared the avocado and inari-shushi Onigiris. The food tasted nice and was ready fast. If you're in the area and just craving some Onigiri on the go you can also just go inside and buy some of the several options they have at their counter! Only little point of critique is that we were waiting quite long after finishing our food and wanting to pay, but no waiter came outside. We went inside to the counter and payed there, seeing that the waiters were eating and having their break so maybe that's why no one had come outside. All in all the service was still friendly and good. I will definitely come back again :)

You always hear about the one sushi place or the one Japanese restaurant you should totally visit. But this is definitely one of those. The place is not even super expensive for the amazing quality they provide. You get the usually classic dishes but also one of the most creative special daily menues you coukd expect from such an understated place right on a busy street. Also you can get Japanese beer if you are into it. Although I would recommend eating a starter instead of an expensive and overrated Japanese beer, after all you are in Austria.
