I don’t understand the overwhelming ga-ga praise this place has received. The city is already full of soulless taco and burrito spots—places that throw together "exotic" ingredients in elaborate combinations, only to deliver uninspired, unfocused flavors. This place falls squarely into that category. The "tacos", presented nearly as tiny tapas, lacked depth, cohesion, and even the slightest hint of heat. As a former Southern Californian, calling what I tasted "tacos" feels painful. I wanted to like it. But it was a complete letdown. And the disappointment didn’t stop at the food. When I visited it in 2024, two restaurant employees took loud phone calls right next to me at different times, with “Not like us” blaring throughout the restaurant. The collective noise was so jarring that even if the food had been worth savoring, I wouldn’t have been able to focus on it. The owner or manager seemed indifferent, because well they already got my money. I have to wonder, if they’ve invested so much in the decor, should they also consider their customers' overall...

Came for lunch, ordered beef chipotle burrito and pulled pork buritto. Hands down, these were the biggest burritos I have ever had a chance to eat.

Beef burrito was pretty tasty from the first bite. That chimicurri sauce was really coming through. Whole thing was well seasoned, I only wish it was just a little bit spicier, but that's okay. Extra nachos on the side were crispy and delicious.

Now where it gets a bit downwards for me, there was a bit too much rice inside, which sometimes overpowered everything else. Now I get it, it's a pretty big meal, but in all honesty, I would set for a smaller burrito with a bit less rice.

The staff was super polite and friendly. Overall, it was a positive experience and a decent meal. Would gladly try other stuff...

The place is very "small" even though it's a huge open space. There weren't so many available seating options. While I was there, people kept coming in and going out of the establishment. It seemed like the people who did this are friends of the people working/owners(?) and the cold winter air just made it very uncomfortable to sit there without my winter jacket on. So, I chose to move to the seat furthest away from the door.

The food: I ordered the quesadilla with beef, it was tasty but felt it was a bit over salted. They serve it with a handful of good tasting tortilla chips.

The service: the waiter at the time was friendly and explained the menu. Food and drinks came quickly, no complaints here.

Overall in my opinion it's an ok...

10/10 – A Taco Lover’s Dream at El Burro, Vienna El Burro in Vienna absolutely blew me away! I had the tacos with sour cream salsa and the mango apple salsa – both were insanely good. The flavors were fresh, creative, and perfectly balanced. You can really tell they put thought into their ingredients. The vibe of the place is super relaxed and welcoming. What stood out to me the most, besides the delicious food, was the staff – they spoke English and French fluently and were incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re in Vienna and craving top-tier tacos, El Burro is a must. Can’t wait to go back!

On a whim my wife saw this place on Google while we were Christmas marketing and I am glad she did. My wife described the burrito as the closest to a Bavarian/Bamberg diner than a Hessen donor. The tacos were small, but good. The quesadillas were good size and tasted good. Nacho bowl was good. The sour cream tasted like tsatsiki and lime with a hint of sour cream and surprisingly it went well with the meal. The habanero salsa was good and had a little heat, but it is still Europe so not real spicy. The seating area is small so be ready that it might be full. I really hope that I get to come back
