An Unforgettable, Five-Star-Plus Experience! Our stay at the Mövenpick Winter Park Hotel Baku was, quite simply, the most exceptional hotel experience we have ever had. From the moment we stepped into the immaculately maintained lobby, we knew we had found a true gem. This is not just a hotel; it is an oasis of impeccable service and superlative comfort, boasting a perfect location closed to every major city attraction, offering the ultimate in convenience for exploring Baku. The Epitome of Service Excellence: Nigar Rzayeva Formicheva The true heart of this magnificent hotel is its staff, and at the core of that team is the phenomenal Guest Relations Supervisor, Nigar Rzayeva Formicheva. Her service was not merely excellent—it was extraordinary, setting a new benchmark for hospitality globally. Nigar is an invaluable asset who truly embodies the concept of going above and beyond. She responded instantly to our every request, demonstrating unparalleled dedication, even on her days off! Her commitment ensures guests feel truly valued and cared for. Nigar alone deserves to elevate the hotel's grading one star above the maximum possible—she is a reason to book your stay here immediately. A Team of Outstanding Professionals The dedication to guest satisfaction extends throughout the entire team. We experienced the warmest welcome from Kenan at the Front Desk, whose professionalism and genuine smile made check-in seamless. Asad, the Bellman, handled our luggage with efficiency and grace. And in the restaurant, Nizam provided the most attentive and delightful dining service, ensuring every meal was a pleasure. The combined efforts of this stellar team—Nigar, Kenan, Asada, and Nizam—create an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury and care. Property and Location The property itself is spotlessly clean, freshly painted, and immaculately maintained—a visual testament to the management’s commitment to quality. The prime central location offers unrivalled accessibility to the city's landmarks, making it the absolute best base for sightseeing. We cannot recommend the Mövenpick Winter Park Hotel Baku highly enough. It is an unforgettable destination that promises and delivers a truly premium travel experience. Rating: 5/5 (Plus one extra...
Read moreI booked this hotel as part of a group tour as I wanted somewhere central from where I could walk to the esplanade, old city and restaurants. |On arriving after midnight on my own I was disappointed by the lack of a warm reception or a smile. The male receptionist was a bit surly. There was no one to take my luggage or direct me to my room so I had to struggle to operate the lift (the receptionist didn’t inform me that it would be necessary to scan the key card). |However, I was pleased with my room and bathroom. Both were spacious and had all facilities i needed. The bed was very comfortable and was made up every day. New towels and water were left but the cleaning was superficial. I noticed long dark hair and a plastic sales tag from a garment were on the bathroom floor from the previous occupant and remained throughout my five night stay. Also, the cupboard that held the fridge had thick dust on the shelf. |The location of the hotel suited me perfectly. By using the rear door it was a straightforward walk along traditional streets to convenience stores, restaurants and the lively Fountains Square area. In fact in the evening it is quicker to walk to these places because the streets are frequently gridlocked. |Breakfast was good, with a choice of cooked and cold dishes to suit western or Asian tastes. It was sometimes hard to get a table, especially if a large tour group was staying and as a lone traveller once when visiting the buffet, I came back to find strangers sitting at my table. On another occasion the table was cleared by an over enthusiastic attendant when I went for a cup of tea even though my bag was there and the food had not even been touched…such a waste. |The restaurant has a great view of the Flame Towers but lacked atmosphere and the food was just so-so. I only went because I’d had a long tiring day and didn’t want to venture out again. |I would have no hesitation in staying here again and I’d recommend...
Read moreOur stay at Movenpick Winter Park Hotel Baku was an absolute disaster from start to finish. After a grueling night of travel from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi, followed by a flight to Baku, we arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m., exhausted and desperate for rest. However, due to the late check-in time, we had to spend the day roaming around the city in the scorching summer heat, counting the minutes until we could finally relax.
When we returned to the hotel, the receptionist’s behavior was completely unacceptable. For the first 30 minutes, we were falsely told that our payment hadn't been processed. Once that issue was finally resolved, we were informed that our rooms were not ready. To make matters worse, the waiting lounge was under construction, leaving us without a proper place to sit and rest. The rude and indifferent attitude of the staff made the situation even more unbearable.
But the nightmare didn’t end there. We had booked two standard twin rooms for our family of five but were told that no twin rooms were available. Instead, they gave us two separate rooms far apart on the same floor, which made it extremely difficult to keep an eye on our kids. To add insult to injury, the rooms were filthy—full of hair and debris—and lacked basic amenities like an iron and a TV remote. When we requested an iron, they brought one with a broken knob, and after complaining again, we were sent another one. The list of complaints just kept growing.
The nightmare continued with the worst breakfast we've ever experienced, and to top it off, the room's ceiling leaked throughout the night. Despite complaining more than five times, the hotel did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. This experience was beyond disappointing. I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to reconsider—don't spoil your trip with a stay here. The staff’s rudeness, poor room conditions, and overall lack of professionalism make this place a...
