BLACK ANGUS BAHRAIN — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

I recently visited this steakhouse and had one of the worst dining experiences of my life.

The two burgers we ordered were disappointing to say the least. One of them had an overpowering black pepper taste that made it nearly impossible to eat, while the other brisket burger was dry and tasted like it had been reheated from a previous day's leftovers. It was certainly not worth the money we paid for it.

And I want to add that we also ordered the brisket arancini, which was supposed to be a highlight of the menu. Unfortunately, it tasted like plain risotto balls with no discernible taste of brisket. I didn't even see any meat pieces inside the balls, making me wonder if the chef was even familiar with the concept of brisket arancini.

The staff was unhelpful and didn't seem to care about our dissatisfaction with the food. To make matters worse, the chef seemed to have no clue what they were doing in the kitchen.

On top of all of this, I discovered that many of the restaurant's Google reviews were fake, likely created by the restaurant itself using fake accounts.

I urge anyone considering visiting this restaurant to steer clear. Don't waste your money on terrible food and non-existent service. There are plenty of other restaurants out there that are worth your...

I went to this steakhouse on a Friday night with my family, I thought this steakhouse would have nice food and staff. But they of course proved me wrong, first of all the waitress we got was new and obviously didn’t know the menu. When we asked if the salad had blue cheese or normal cheese she didn’t know so she went to another waitress while he was getting the persons order, anyways moving on to the food. First thing they brought was the calamari and it was alright. We had other starters but they straight away brought our main course the tomahawk. My brother ordered a fillet madalion cooked medium, they brought it medium well, but the tomahawk they brought was medium even though they ordered medium well. So that you can see was a mix up. Now heres the funny part, I ordered the all american cheeseburger with no vegetables except for cheese, they brought it to me with vegetables, then we told them it was without vegetables so the waitress went and this tome brought it without vegetables but this time she removed the fries so when we told her she said that she though we didn’t want anything except for the burger. I really think this steakhouse has a future but you need to work on your staff....

TLDR- this place was okay, but certainly not worth the price.

I will start off by saying the waiter gave great service and was attentive. However, the food was only okay for what you pay for. We had the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer- the dip was good but the chips it came with were cheap and tasted like cardboard. The stuffed jalapeños were probably the best part of the meal- definitely a unique take that worked.

The steaks were okay, and I mean that if you’re paying 19-25 BD for a steak it better be perfect- these were not. Under seasoned and slightly overcooked, but the cuts themselves were relatively tender. The side dishes are average, I had the mash potatoes (no seasoning) and others at our table had a loaded baked potato that wasn’t loaded at all.

While we were in the non smoking section of the restaurant, you can definitely tell folks smoke in the building and there’s a tinge of it in the air. Not a big deal for us, but it may be for others.
