Kyoto Restaurant Uttara - A Slice of Japan in the Heart of Dhaka! 🌟 If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine or simply love good food in a beautiful ambiance, Kyoto Restaurant in Uttara is a must-visit destination! From the moment you step inside, you're transported into a warm, cozy, and authentically themed Japanese atmosphere. The décor is elegant yet inviting, with traditional touches that add to the immersive dining experience. 🥤 The Green Juice was the perfect refreshing start to the evening. Served in a stylish glass with a quirky straw, it was not only photogenic but incredibly revitalizing — a great palate cleanser to begin with. 🥟 The Dumplings (Gyoza) were an absolute standout! Steamed to perfection and topped with a generous portion of spicy chili oil and garnishes, every bite was packed with umami flavor. The texture was spot on — soft yet satisfying — making it a dish we’d return for again and again. 🍤 Tempura Prawns were golden, crispy, and airy — just as tempura should be. Paired with a delicious soy-based dipping sauce, the prawns had a sweet freshness that balanced beautifully with the savory crunch. The service was impeccable — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff made sure our experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Visited this place to grab a quick lunch, I ordered the Maki/Uramaki platter, Grilled squid & octopus, Spicy Chicken Noddles and drinks (mint lemonade & orange chiller). The Maki platter was very average in taste, and unfortunately found a strand of hair inside a piece of maki. Upon complaining, the waiter falsely claimed it to be crab meat strand (i dint argue further, cause it seemed evident that they dint want to accept the mistake). The Grilled squid & octopus tasted good, but the serving portion was very less compared to price. There was only few pieces of squid, and was mostly filled with capsicum and baby octopuses. The spicy chicken noodles were under cooked, with barely any chicken provided. The most worst part of our dining experience was the unhygienic atmosphere, the chairs/seats were dirty and the floor was super sticky (as if they dint wiped it for months). There were numerous amounts of maggots flying and sitting on the food. I would not recommend this place to anyone, for a restaurant to charge premium pricing and still not providing the bare minimum quality and hygiene. Please do not fall prey to the food bloggers hyping up this restaurant.

i had a really good experience with kyoto bangladesh. i already went there four times within a month after visiting once. i tried their fried prawn maki twice and its a 10/10. the miso soup was good but i would really recommend the fish tempura, shrimp cheese roll and matchamisu. the chicken fried rice was delicious however i think they should really increase the amount to 1:2. spicy chicken noodles would be better if they used less amount of veggies and more noodles. i would rate the mentai chicken rice bowl 8/10 (a bit too much carrot compared to chicken), chicken udon wasn't bad but a lil bland. banana katsu was okayish. i forgot to take picture of the fish & chips but the quantity is perfect for two but they should serve a better dip and more fries rather than serving carrot fries. interior is perfect.
