NEW STEAKHOUSE IN DHANMONDI | @smokeystationbd just started their journey a couple of months back in Dhanmondi and yet underrated steakhouse in Dhaka.

Items we tried, Mozzarella Sticks 320BDT+ Cream of Mushroom Soup 395BDT+ Poutine 400BDT+ Cashew Nut Salad 410BDT+ Beef Rib Eye Steak (300g) 1895BDT+ Philly High Cheese Beef Steak Flat Chicken 540BDT+ Blueberry Shake 400BDT+ Blueberry Pomegranate Mojito 260BDT+

From the starters, mozzarella sticks, poutine, and salad - these three were very good. The poutine and the salad were pretty much loaded. I wish they used a little less sauce in both of these, as I prefer to have less sauce, some might love more sauce. The soup needs improvement, thickness-wise and tastewise it was fine but we felt it was way too sweet to be a soup.

Now let’s talk about the steaks, the beef rib eye was very good, and we took the doneness- medium rare. We opted for southern corn rice and mashed potato. Both were good. We took pepper sauce and lemon butter sauce with this. For the cheese beef steak, we opted for roasted potatoes and beans salad. The salad was a touch spicy for us, giving a salsa flavour. The cheese beef steak had a base of veggies with little cheese and steak on top. I think the cheese amount can be increased and the spice level could be decreased. It was super spicy for us! For all types of steak, you can select two sides and two sauce options. For cheese steak only two sides. The flat chicken was very fulfilling!

The place gives a rustic yet modern vibe and the ambience was perfect to be a steak place. Dhanmondi needs more good steak places!

I recently visited Smokey Station for lunch, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. I was super hungry, so I ordered their BBQ set meal with Mexican rice and wedges as my two sides.

First of all, I have to talk about the BBQ chicken, it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. The BBQ sauce was absolutely perfect, packed with flavor, and I instantly became a fan. I’ve tried BBQ chicken at many places before, but nothing compares to this. The chicken was perfectly cooked, incredibly soft, tender, and super juicy. I didn’t even need a knife to cut it because it was that soft, it literally melted in my mouth. I really loved every bite of it.

The Mexican rice was fairly good, nothing extraordinary but enjoyable overall. And about the wedges they are one of my favorites, but they only served three pieces, which felt a bit disappointing 😅. They could definitely serve a few more! The service was also good, and the staff were polite and attentive.

Overall, I had a wonderful lunch at Smokey Station. If you love BBQ chicken, this place is a must-visit. I’m definitely...

The atmosphere here was very nice. Upon entering you immediately get the Texas theme which is kind of overused in Bangladeshi steak places but it's still overall nice.

We got the "House special stuffed chicken" and the "Philly high cheese beef steak". The chicken dish was very good, I guess it's House special for a reason. The chicken was cooked well and the cheese went well with it.

The Philly beef steak was a bit lackluster. We did make a mistake of getting two cheese dishes so at some point they both tasted quite similar which did not help. Beyond that though, the Philly beef steak just had too much spice in it in my opinion. You can't taste the beef properly, it gets lost in all the spices and cheese and vegetables.
