I visited the lemongrass in worthing (regular customer to this establishment ) Upon arrival I made my order in which I’m usually very specific about . I communicated with the lady what I wanted only in my udon noodles which was a shrimp udon with only broccoli, cabbage and onion ONLY . After a few minutes my order was ready . This evening I decided to sit and enjoy my meal at the restaurant which later led to disappointment after realizing that EGG was in my noodles after I was highly specific with my order and even my friends order was a special prep with no egg . My concern of the order being incorrect was brought to the attention of the lady who I paid , her response was ( THAT’S A YOU PROBLEM AND TO THROW IT AWAY IF I DONT WANT IT ) in disbelief i highlighted that I was specific ( showed the receipt also) about what I wanted only in my noodles she ignored and proceeded to walk away making a joke of the wrong order to the other employees on duty that night . Despite being a local this left a bad taste in my mouth being treated so poorly . I promptly called the limegrove restaurant to speak with a manager this experience was simply unacceptable , the manager ( COEN OR COEIN) assured me he would contact the express to ensure the situation was corrected . After 30mins no call was made nor was it corrected so i decided to call back only to be told he left ….. couple days later I called once more incase my contact information was misplaced and he tried reaching me . This has been over a week & the situation remains the same . Perhaps locals aren’t of value to this establishment because surely if I was a tourist this would’ve been dealt with differently or I may have be refunded in the least . Sad to say that is/will be my final visit to any of their businesses....
Read moreGreat food, but shockingly bad bad service and extremely rude waitresses. Restaurant is let down by its staff, the Manager had to intervene, no apology or acknowledgement from the waitresses for their poor service. Restaurant appears to be prioritising takeout over eat in diners, which is not good. Service Charge % not mentioned on menu, but came out at 15% on bill, more than we have paid anywhere else. We enjoyed the food, but our relatives sat on adjacent table had to walk out after 1.45hrs of no food, after we had received our starters, main courses and finished, their's was nowhere to be seen. Waitress lied and said they ordered way after us when they actually ordered before us. The Manager gave their food FOC as takeout. We requested the service charge be removed but waitress said that was not possible...... Manager then removed from bill, server became passive aggressive towards us and suggested we "ensure you get home safely" "watch how you go". The Chef had to put his finger to his mouth to gesture to her to keep her mouth shut. Terrible behaviour, such a shame as food delightful. Staff need training on how to treat customers with respect....
Read moreI was looking forward to my take out lunch from Lemongrass today. I have had good experiences dining in-house before. I ordered the Cashew chicken which came with an assortment of vegetables and cashews in their signature sauce. When I opened the container holding the cashew chicken at first all I saw was sauce. On pouring out the contents, the assortment of vegetables consisted mainly of two large pieces of pumpkin and two large pieces of carrot with a few (as in 3) small pieces of sweet pepper and onion. Not a green vegetable in sight. This was accompanied with 6 cashews and probably 8 bite sized pieces of chicken. I could not even say the quality of the food compensated for the quantity. I ended up leaving half their signature sauce behind there was so much it and probably out of a bottle. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It will probably be a long time before I choose Lemongrass again and definitely not...
