Better than hungry — Restaurant in Antwerp

Visited this restaurant for dinner as it was nearby. Indoor with outdoor seating, at the time there was no wait. Approached rather quickly by the host/server, menu was easy to read. The restaurant offers different choices of noodles and a rice option, the pricing depends on the protein. We requested tap water, the server stated that they do not serve tap water. Water with nonalcoholic or alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. The ambiance was very airy and open however, there were some flies, one of them made it into my drink.

We ordered 1 noddle item #31 chicken with red curry and 1 rice item #63 with chicken. #31 was filled with a ton of bean sprouts, flavor wise it was okay, personally believe better paired with rice. #63 was filled with flavor, out of the two dishes-our favorite. In my opinion, portions are large easily shareable between 2 people. Food is fresh and hot, spice level was tolerable.

Overall, good restaurant aside from slight inconveniences here and there. There was only one host/server, the attention to customer needs was just when needed or asked when compared to...

While visiting Antwerp, we went for lunch here twice. The food is delicious and the portions very generous, guaranteed to make you feel happy and satisfied. We recommend to try the Sauvignon Blanc called "Sisi", pairs well with spicy food and who knew Slovenian wine compliments Thai food so perfectly. One small thing we want to share for fun : we started calling the place "better than (h)angry" because the owner is not big on smiles, and has an overall "severe" type of attitude. I would say it's not easy to find a place where you get treated like a king and eat like one as well in Antwerp but this place definitively accomplishes this.

Not only do you get greeted by a really accommodating, warm and friendly service but you get a very generous amount pf really good food for a great price.

I went with a big party of people and the staff knew not only how to handle us but treated us to an incredible, delicious and variated meal.

The restaurant is spacious yet cozy.

Oh, and if you don't finish your food (generous amounts remember?) they kindly pack it for you, so the treat continues...
