Let me be concise, you should probably not visit this place, and I’m writing this review hoping this business will take this feedback as an opportunity to improve on their weaknesses. The food was okay, not the best brunch I had in my life, but definitely a good option. Now, how is it possible that I had to wait about 30 minutes at a half-empty restaurant to get my order taken? And I pretty much had to wave to the waitress to get her attention. Then about 10’ later another waitress came to us to confirm the drinks we ordered. I would say, since the moment we stepped into the restaurant until we got our food, it took… 1 hour or maybe longer to get our fairly simple order of 2 dishes. Also, I understand you may want to ventilate the area, appreciate the waitress told us it was gonna be just for a couple of minutes, but it was 10° outside and opening the door and forgetting about it is not nice. We didn’t complain, but it happened twice and the rest of the guests weren’t as patient as we were and directly complained about how cold it was inside, which is completely understandable. I mean, I could spend an hour writing about the whole experience, but I’ll summarize: Food was good, service was really friendly but absolutely messy and improvised, you can’t run a business like this, I can’t understand how you got a 4,9 rating in Google. I wish you all the best, but this...
Read moreYou can tell Chef Meski cares a lot about the experience and atmosphere. Server Mo did a great job as well being the only server in a full restaurant. We walked in and luckily snagged the last table available. Thank goodness too because in order to ensure the diners get the best service possible they lock the door when it's full to avoid crowding and ensure the chef can focus on cooking the orders he has.
The food was delightful other than them being out of the cream cheese. That disappointed me a bit but they did have plenty of other options. I decided to try the smoked salmon toast and chocolate dream pancake, while my friend ate the chicken mushroom toast.
Our lattes were good however if Meski takes requests, i would recommend you make the pink latte instead with strawberry milk, or to sprinkle it with freeze dried strawberries or raspberries to have some purpose to the pinkness other than just using dye.
The service was seriously top notch and the food was so good. I recommend everyone give it a try but understand it is small and they will turn you away if they don't have tables or are too busy. The setting is very cute and perfect for all you Instagram foodies!!
Chef Meski also promised me he's coming to Wisconsin USA!! Haha so watch out...
