Ons Suzanne — Restaurant in Antwerp

Despite being busy, Ons Suzanne found us a table for lunch quickly and with a smile.

There are lots of tables inside so seating is cramped; our chairs were up against the back of the table behind us. However, the decor is great.

The food was ok. Two of us had the same meal, which did taste fresh although lacking in flavour and quite dry. To their credit they did specifically ask for our feedback on how to make the dish better when they came to collect our plates, as they told us this was a new dish they were testing. They didn’t inform us of this when we ordered and had we known, we may have altered our choice to something more tried and tested.

They accommodated some special dietary requirements well.

Went to sit down for a coffee, however, they told me that for drinks only, they didn't allowed us to sit down. I don't know if it was the time of the day or what. The only thing that I can say about this place is that if you may be in 3 people and one is not ordering anything, you are occupying space, so you need to order for 3 not for 2?!? Insane... Customer service bad, the 2 ladies were just chit chatting for a long time before realising that we were ready to order. And once we tried, well ...that happened.
