We had dinner at Habibi Bruges and honestly, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Europe. The manager and the waiters were genuinely kind, welcoming, and warm from the moment we walked in. As someone from the Middle East who knows how authentic Middle Eastern food should taste, I can confidently say this place serves the real thing. I’ve lived in Europe for five years before moving to the U.S., and I’ve never had Middle Eastern food in Europe that was this authentic. In fact, the U.S. doesn’t even come close to this quality. Every single dish we tried tasted like home. The hummus was top-notch!! creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bread was soft and fresh, straight out of the oven. The baba ghanoush was excellent, with that deep smoky flavor that’s hard to find, and the labneh was fresh and rich. We also ordered the mixed grill plate, and it honestly blew us away. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, the kebab was astounding, and the steak pieces were juicy and full of flavor. The standout detail was the lamb fat, or liye pieces, which they source personally from the Netherlands because it comes from a very specific type of sheep. That level of attention to detail tells you everything you need to know about this place. They care. They put love into their food. This isn’t just another Middle Eastern restaurant!!! this is a place that delivers authentic flavors with precision and pride. If you’re in Bruges, whether you know Middle Eastern food or you’re just curious to try, go here. Order everything. You won’t regret it. Hands down, the best Middle Eastern food I’ve ever had in Europe. A must visit.

TASTY, FAIR PRICES AND GOOD SYRIAN/MIDDLE-EASTERN KITCHEN I used to love to quality of Taboulé in Langestraat, but they closed down. Luckily Mohammed opened Habibi with perfect timing. Just a few minutes walk away from the busy city centre. Good choice of starters and mains both vegetarian and for meat lovers like me. In the photo the Mtabbal/Moutabal (smoky egg plant & yoghurt starter) and Beef Shawarma wrap.

The food was tasty, flavoursome and, copious. A treat when it is quite difficult to find a good an genuine middle Eastern restaurant. We could have skipped the frites and crasher ask for Pita bread. The haloumi was well prepared. Excellent quality meat and chicken. The waiter was friendly and professional. The ambiance was great. The toilets new and clean. Thank you.

Three of us had a very tasty meal here tonight. We had not made reservations for Saturday night (before the Brugge Marathon, no less) and Mohammed was able to rearrange some tables and make place for us...wonderful! The appetizers (dolmas, hummus and falafel) were great -- all clearly made in-house. And then our entrees were great with wonderfully-seasoned lamb, chicken and beef skewers. Definitely recommend a visit if you are...

We had a wonderful meal at Habibi, managing to get a walk in table on a rainy evening. The service was superb: friendly, helpful and attentive. We shared a selection of starters and salads and all were delicious. The Foul and the Kibbeh were stand out, but everything else was great too. It was great for us as a mix of meat eaters and vegetarians. Good portion sizes. Some of the best Middle Eastern food we’ve had outside...
