Art's & Bagels Trèves — Restaurant in Brussels

It's an absolute jam! I've accidentally stumbled across this place in search of a corner that I could use to make a video call. Immediately I was welcomed by amazing sight: warm bagels, yummi spreads, mouth-watering salats and some other light snacks. Of course I fell for it! It turned out I would make a really unfortunate mistake, if I hadn't order anything ... their La Rococo salad and bagel with simple spread was one of the most refreshing and filling food I've ever tasted. And the place itself is really a cosy mix of friendly service and all sorts of murmurred languages and background noises that either puts you in a really good working mood or relax you to a state that requires some more coffee. It looked like an an unassuming small bagel place from the street but there’s a lot of space inside (it’s within the Thon complex and stretches until the courtyard). It’s good to know in this area, which is always packed during lunch. Everything that goes into a bagel can be also made into one of the three salads, which resembles poke bowls (but cheaper and smaller). You can pick a bread type of the bagel (including gluten free) and soya/other milk for the coffee. UNHYGIENIC. I saw how a bagel that fell on the floor was being used to prepared an order. When I pointed it out I was treated like a liar even though I saw it very clearly. I was wondering why the staff put that bagel back on top of the toasting oven and not straight into the trash so I kept looking to see what happens and I saw the other staff take it to prepare the next order. It is disgusting and their reaction when I pointed it out was appalling. They explained that they used another bagel from the the top of the tosting oven as if that makes it any better…mixing what falls on the floor with the rest!...
