I am grateful that they have accomodated me as a solo diner; that meant they gave away one seat that night. The place is less than 5 minutes walk from the metro; a corner restaurant which has a very cosy vibe. I like the interior and it is very pleasing to the eyes.

The service is great if you come in early; I believe as the night progressed, the service deteriorated because they had more people to attend to. But it was not bad at all. I just think that it is weird to see a young waiter run around the restaurant; looking a little stressed. Apart from that, I think I was treated well as a customer.

The food was mostly great! I could have easily eaten the tiny plate of tomatoes and brown crab - actually five plates of them! That dish alone was Michelin worthy! I also think that some dishes specially the amuse bouche were on the salty side. I know there are people who appreciate that flavor profile but it wasn’t for me. However, the desserts are heavenly! I loved every bite of them!

When you order a five-course meal, you actually get more than ten! So they are worth the money! It is a great restaurant for celebrating a milestone or maybe just enjoying great food with...

This is the third time I visited Barge. I must admit I hadn't been for some years, so it was almost like 'a first visit'. We were at a gallery art opening just before and this was walking distance away. This neighbourhood, once 'troubled', is reviving and the anticpated opening of the Kanal Museum will only improve that.

The food was excellent. From the appetizer to the mignardises, it was all delicious. There was just not one dish that didn't match the expectations.

I'm a wine lover, but lately I'm trying to reduce my alcohol consumption so I'm exploring other options. Choosing for the non alcoholic choice on the menu has been disappointing at many restaurants, but here they went the extra mile to make it a wonderful experience. Each glass was explained with the same passion as they do with wines.

The team, chefs and waiters, were super nice. As a Flemish native in Brussels, I always go for Dutch first and switch to French if they don't master the language. They did their very best to serve me in my native language.

I shouldn't wait years to come back to...
