Went twice in the last month, also for the 10y anniversary. Valerio is a great host and outstanding cook. Menu always has several appetizers and desserts, and 3-4 pasta to choose from (went at lunch time). Carbonara is an all time favorite and for sure one of the best have tried in Belgium. What makes La Tana superb is the easy going atmosphere, and the outstanding list of wines and craft beers. Lambics of Cantillon, IPAs on draft or in fridge, great lagers... Plenty to choose from. A must visit in Brussels!

This place was recommended by someone on a Facebook group, as being a good place to eat Roman Italian food with great craft beers. I have to say I was very pleased, the food was superb and the beer was mainly Italian craft and very good quality. The staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Most excellent evening.

ENG - Great food and ingredients! We tried the pasta alla norma with smoked ricotta and the pasta with salsiccia. Both very good. The tiramisu with beer is excellent! They also have alternative sodas (cola, orange and lemon soda) Very friendly people. Only 5 minutes walk from central train station and parc. Payment cash and card.

We had an issue with the wine; there was mother of vinegar inside our wine and I tried to explain the wine was not good anymore. The chef came to the table in a very arrogant way and accused us of lying and said it was sediment. As I tried and even sold natural wines, I tried to explain the reason why it can happen in polite way, he just got even more arrogant and self-righteous. He said we could pay the wine or leave. In a normal restaurant, they would just try to empathize and change the bottle. And so we left, not approving this kind of impolite behavior and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Answer for your reply: I told you that sediment is normal in natural wines but Mother of Vinegar not. You can google it, if you don't know what it is. Your assumptions are not correct. I have never rejected any wine in a restaurant in my whole life. I wish you good luck and advise you to learn how to stock...

We visited the restaurant because of the very good recommendations and we wanted to support small and owner leaded restaurants. We were a bit disappointed. It was very expensive. The waiter and the cook were friendly. We ordered some tortellini and carbonara that was tasty but we waited nearly 45min. After the 45min we got some bread as an excuse. This was very dry like it were left the whole day at the air. We got some free water anD ordered a bottle of cider. The bottle cider (20€/Bottle) was charged with an extra service fee. An extra service fee is fine and we were shortly informed about that but why is the fee for a bottle higher (8€) than for a coke (1,50€)... the way the waiter has to carry the bottle is the same than the way for a coke. Maybe they want only take away customers. This fee is not charged in any other restaurant in Brussels where we had been. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend the...

Food: The pomodoro e buratta was average. Lack of real taste. The carbonara was amazing. Great pasta al dente, perfect saltiness, guanciale perfectly cooked...amazing.

Services: As a no french speaking person walking in was a little hostile. When I sat down, the waiter asked me if I wanted a drink and when I asked about the beers, he made me feel how stupid I was wor asking what beers they have because they have many. I let him know he was in a mood and he changed immediately. Ended up being very very friendly.

Atmosphere: The quiet hard rock in the background is annoying. I couldn't saty for longer...
