Atmosphere: Popular bar with very large terrace close to Forest park. Gets pretty crowded when the weather is nice. Kind of like Café Belga, but in Forest. Nice place to go with a few friends on a sunny day, or even alone if you just want to sit and read. I wouldn't call it family friendly, but I do see some people here with their kids on the weekends.
Menu: Pretty extensive drinks menu. They have a good selection of beers, but it's definitely not a beer bar. Their selection will satisfy 99% of people though. I haven't tried the food. Most people don't come here to eat, but to have a drink and talk.
Payment: They accept credit/debit cards without a problem, and also cash.
Service: Staff are friendly and reasonable. Like in any place in Brussels though, don't expect royal treatment. So if you're a tourist and you're used to overly friendly and accommodating service staff, that's not something you'll find here or anywhere in this city.
Overall: Definitely a bar you should have on your list of places to meet...
Read moreAs a local, I go very often. Cashmachine.... The other point is the crew staff, of course its hard job but they can took it a bit more laid back, more cooler and faster or more staff in crowd hour because its sometimes a battle to get eyecontacted with them in order to order at the counter... I still put 4 stars because its still a central meeting point for me and the terrace is very enjoyable with the little fountain and my kid can cycling around without disturbing a...
Read moreIf you look for a decadent bar you found it... and believe me im not talking in a disrespectful way, this is a decadent bar and it has it charm, but... for me in this day it was not the case.
The food was without other description, bad... probably the driest and uninspired chocolate cake from Brussels, not ham sandwiches and the cheese one was very creative... in a bad way.
Yeah i know you wll say it is a bar, not a place to eat... maybe it is true, but we went for the formules, stayed because we foubd parkjng and left because we were hungry.
On the good note I advise a visit to the bathroom you will find lots of graffiti ans stickers and also a fountain to wash your hands....
