When we arrived in Ghent, it seemed like half the city's popular cafes and restaurants were closed on Sunday and Monday evenings. So we went browsing around our neighbourhood. Initially we were sceptical of a seemingly low-key pizza place, but hunger won over and we walked in.
The setting was immediately welcoming and familiar. The staff were attentive if a little bit inexperienced. There were small English language issues with complicated and unusual toppings, but absolutely not an issue.
The food came fast and was exactly what a few weary travellers needed after being turned away at a half dozen over-booked restaurants.
The pizza dough is delicious, the toppings are fresh and wine list decent. Many vegetarian options or substitutes are available.
We came here again the following evening and the experience was just as enjoyable.

The restaurant was nearly full when we got there (can accommodate around 60 pax) and only 2 tables were empty when we got in. They made some space for us despite not booking in advance. Food was served in around 25 mins. The portions are good enough. They had around 6-8 staff, all really busy but that did not affect their service. The menu was in Dutch but gladly one staff spoke English and he was very helpful going through the menu with us.
