Could be so much better! The atmosphere in the restaurant is really great, and the waiters are nice. And we really appreciated the tasty complimentary appetizers. However, the moussaka was so disappointing. Please find a good recipe online instead... it's hard to mess up moussaka because it's got such tasty ingredients. But why pour on a cheap tasting jar of pasta sauce on top?! It was very mushy and why tomato sauce, I don't know... I've never seen that before. The saganaki was equally disappointing. Looked like a pre-fabbed piece of breaded (corn-dog breading comes to mind) cheese on a plate. A far cry from the sizzling hot saganaki served flaming in a cast iron pan that I'm used to (in Canada, even!). Your restaurant deserves better, my friend. And please don't serve apple juice in a wine glass with a huge straw in it. Oh, and the water we asked for never came. Such small things can make your restaurant great. As it is we won't be...
Read moreIt was my first visit this restaurant with my family, but I know that there will be more visits ! Restaurant is too easy to reach via trams T1 and T3. Mezze plate was definitely good, we especially liked calamari and scampi. But I have to mention specifically about the octopus, it was a real masterpiece! I tried a few Greek restaurants in Gent, and Pantheon is the best one among them with no doubt. Service was really friendly -especially the person who cared with our table- the team had lots of smiles on their faces. The restaurant was almost full since it was a friday evening and it had a quite good atmosphere. Maybe the music could be a little bit higher, it might be good to listen to some Greek classics while drinking Ouzo. Price is fair compared to quality of good, drink and service.
Thanks for this evening and hope to see you again ! “Teşekkürler...
Read moreI went to this place the first time a few months ago. I thought the food was good and the price reasonable so yesterday I decided to go there for dinner. We step in and I ask a table for two. Waiter no. 1 says something in dutch and turn his head without even answering. I still can't figure out the reason for such a rude behavior. However then comes waiter no. 2 and tells me that it's ok and let us sit. I order wine and food but right after ordering I decide to change my order so I go to him and ask if it's possible to change. Waiter no. 2 comes out of the kitchen hysterically squawking about the fact that i stepped one meter behind the bar. I decide to leave the place. Before leaving I am asked to pay 10 euros for half a liter of retsina (a kind of cheap white wine) that was untouched...
