Pizza Hut Gent Korenmarkt — Restaurant in Ghent

For glutenfree people it is not recommended to eat here. My experience at the Pizza hut in Gent was very bad. There was only a group of young people (15 years old) working there at the moment. They probably did not know about how glutenfree works. Luckily I could look in the kitchen and see that they cut te gluten-free pizza with the same knife as all the gluten pizzas. They did make a new pizza, I cut it myself. The pizza was square and only half covered with saus and cheese, not delicious. It is known that in places like this there is a high change of cross contamination, but the staff was not carefull at all and not knowledgeable about glutenfree. The overall feeling of this place felt very chaotic. It was not busy during our visit so staff was talking in a group at the table next to us about their free time, not professional. It was also dirty inside the place. I will not visit here again.

Food was good but, the waitress was very rude. We ordered soup and she did not guide us at all that we have to take it our own. Second waitress guided us properly. When we confronted her about what she did, she said if now you have soup so stop asking why she did it. Later she started talking in other language with her collegue about us. All other customers were looking at us. Thats how we knew she was talking very bad about us right in the hotel. Very rude and very unattentive behaviour. After day spent in belgium with all the polite people, dinner at pizza hut was disappointment for us as a tourist due to the treatment given to us. Absolute nightmare, warm welcome and that was it, we selected our favourites from. The menu, garlic bread”no we don’t have any”, four items we asked for were out of stock, it se med like a big joke, the salad bar was also depleted, Service was disputable, staff seemed to be having a reunion on the next table, did not seemed bothered to offer a service to us, reason being they were having more fun with their get together. This one will be a miss for us in the future and the tourist we take to Ghent will be advised to miss it. We now know why the place was empty when we arrived, no service equals...
