Sushi Prime — Restaurant in Ghent

Delicious all-you-can-eat sushi place! Similar to the AYCE teppanyaki places, but then without the teppanyaki department, but instead with really fresh-tasting delicious sushis (as opposed to often a bit under par sushis). It's a bit similar to Sushi Love in Oudburg in sushi quality, but this place offers more sides, and the huge benefit of being able to choose what you want to order.

Other than the good variety of sushi (including some very interesting ones), the other sides are also really nice: excellent wakame and karage was gingery and tasty (I was expecting cheap frozen ones). The gyōza unfortunately got deepfried instead of the delicious panfried version, but other than that it was all very nice!

Really excellent deal for the quality you get! I've tried many of these places in Ghent, and this is probably my favourite so far, in terms of quality, the choice, and the price (25 euro for lunch)!

Just 1 little unpleasant surprise came at the end, when on the bill I found out 1 liter water...

I live my whole live in this beautiful city and one of the things that makes living in this city truly great is restaurants like this! I may say that this is a hidden gem! The week menu is always full of creative and new dishes, while there standard options have proven their worthiness. The staff, social oriented and always helpful has even an extra plus: the majority of them can speak Spanish. The owner shows a keen interest in wine and knows his ways in the Belgian beer market. Ik ging hier eten met mijn twee andere personen. De beste sushi-ervaring die we alledrie al eens hebben meegemaakt, echt waar! De reservaties maken ging zeer vlot. Toen we aankwamen, was de sfeer zeer rustgevend, en het personeel was uitzonderlijk verwelkomend. Heel beleefde en behulpzame mensen. We werden meteen bediend aan tafel en bestelden een sushi-assortiment voor drie. Niet alleen kregen we een gigantische klassieke sushiboot, we kregen ook nog aparte rolls, warm en koud telkens gescheiden, wat het eten veel fijner maakte, alsook een bord van originele rolls met een zoete touch door de aardbei erbovenop! En hoe fijn om een uitleg te horen over de samenstelling! Afrekenen ging zeer vlot, en het gehele personeel buiten de keuken zei zeer beleefd nog eens gedag met een warme glimlach.
