A Hidden Gem in Ghent: A Must-Visit Culinary Experience
We stumbled upon this restaurant almost by accident, and what an incredible discovery it turned out to be! From start to finish, our experience was exceptional.
The cocktails were nothing short of amazing. The bartender’s expertise and creativity truly shone as he crafted custom cocktails for us based on our preferences. Each drink was a masterpiece, showcasing his deep knowledge and inventive flair.
The food was simply divine. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. It's evident that the kitchen takes pride in delivering excellence on every plate.
Adding to the charm was the staff—incredibly friendly, attentive, and personable. They made us feel genuinely welcome and enhanced the overall experience with their warm and professional service.
This restaurant may not be well-known yet, but it absolutely deserves more attention. We believe it’s a hidden gem that’s waiting to be discovered. The intimate atmosphere and personal touches made our visit far more enjoyable than another well-known establishment in Ghent that we’ve tried.
While it’s not the cheapest option, we can confidently say that it’s worth every euro. The quality of food, drinks, and service far surpasses many other places in the same price range.
We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Ghent. Don’t let its low profile fool you—this is a place you’ll want to tell everyone about after your visit. We can’t...

For starters, we found the cocktails very tiny in comparison to the price. A cocktail glass of 15cl filled 2/3 (instead of to the brim as it should) with a drink that is almost half foam, a whisky glass with a huge square ice cube almost to mask the lack of drink... For 13-14euros, there are better spots in Ghent to get cocktails that are more generously served and of the same quality or better. The food: presentation was great, but everything was undersalted, the lobster bisque soup and kalfsblankette taste the same as a traiteur meal, the raviolo pasta was overworked, the bar bites are ridiculously tiny, everything comes with very plain slices of white and brown bread... Only the bone marrow dish was a pleasant surprise. Overall, we found the quality/quantity is not up to par with...

We had 2 appetizers and 4 main dishes. Each one of them has been made meticulously and looked like a peace of art. Many of the dishes need quite some time to be made (the lamb needs 48 hours to achieve this tenderness; the crispy bacon needs a day marinating time,...).
It's easy to understand each dish is made with quality ingredients; the shrimp popcorn tastes very shrimpy, whole the lobster soup tastes full of... Lobster.
Most importantly, apart from looking like a piece of art, they also tasted as such.
This establishment is a bit like a research and development department for new food creations, in which the customers are like the final testers (because the concoctions have clearly already been finetuned and approved into deliciousness by the scientists and engineers...
