Gulhan Pizza — Restaurant in Ghent

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience. First of all the service was poor. When asked to sit outside, we were told something inaudibly that sounded like we had to sit where he told us to. The waiter seemed very stressed and unhappy. It took ages to get our order taken, and the orders seemed to be taken at random not in order if people arriving. The waiter didn't seem interested at all, the whole ordering experience took less than 5 seconds before he was off stressing somewhere else again. The pizzas were a bit dull and needed a lot more salt. The dough wasn't fantastic. The salad was dry and stale. I used to go to this place Pizza Guhlan place very often 15-20 years ago when I lived in Ghent. This place is now merely a shadow of its former past I'm afraid. We were disappointed. The ollives and peppers at the start and the sweets and tea at the end are still there, which was nice to see some good...

We’ve have tried this restaurant twice, once for a Pizza Pide delivery and the second time for a dine-in experience with their grilled mix. The Pide was a delightful choice, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious flavours.

However, during the second visit with the grilled mix, I found the kebabs to be just okay and not as impressive.

Additionally, I must mention that the delivery/preparation time was quite long, which may be a consideration for those who prefer prompt service.

Regarding the atmosphere, I found it to be less than pleasant, which affected the overall dining experience.

I came to this place on the recommendation of my friend Hamza. He told me that if I wanted to try good Turkish cuisine, that's all in this place.

The place is very large and can accommodate many guests at once. The decor of the place is not in my taste.

The service is very polite, but it is very difficult for them to speak English.

However, it's easy to come to an agreement because we have a choice between pizza or a traditional Turkish grill.

I ordered a mixed grill. The food was served quickly. A large and varied portion offered a variety of flavors. The plate included three very tasty types of meat and side dishes. If you want such cuisine, I can confidently recommend this place.
