Brussels Grill Toison d'or — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

I had a really embrassing bad experience from this resturant- Few days ago as I was sitting with my friend to eat a steak we've been waiting for a waiter to let us sit 15 minutes as we tried to get the waiter's attention and he didn't really care/any other worker cared (the resturant wasn't busy at all) finally after 15 minutes we were sitting and ordered while my friend tried to figure out some information about the menu the waiter didn't have patient at all and wasn't talking patiently to him after few minutes he came back to us and said we need to pay before we get our food in statment that the place is busy at the moment and this is how they work now, he also forced us to leave a 10% tip which I don't see why because the service was awful!! it felt weird because it's the first time we pay in advance for food and what if we wanted to order a desert or more drinks? people kept sitting in the resturant next to us and as they ordered they were never asked to pay in advance We felt so embrassed and because we are classic people we ate our food and left this shameless resturant and we will never come back I'm sorry that I havn't filmed the situtatio because I'm sure that would leave everyone in shock. I love Brussels grills but i will never go to this specific one never again. I have it multiple attempts and it's horrible! I ordered a steak medium rare and SPECIFICALLY asked to get a thick, normal steak because last time i received two tiny fillets stacked on each other and overcooked. This time, i got a thick steak BUT SLICED IN THE MIDDLE to create a long flat fillet, absolutely overcooked and burnt. How can this place call itself a GRILL RESTAURANT? My partner ordered linguine scampi, but after a good minute of looking for any sign of shrimps we found out that the shrimps are so hard and overcooked that they shrinked into minimal sizes. Really rude service. The guy ( waiter ) literally throw menu on our table. After this attitude we even didn’t want to stay there , but still decided to give it chance. But that was such a mistake !!!Lamb was really bad , tasteless. For the price what you need to pay , that was sooo bad . At the end when we wanted to pay.
