Went there during a girl's night out, super atmosphere. Excellent, excellent cocktails! The waitress was very kind, and gave us their best table. We enjoyed every minute, the food, the setting... It was all worth it! We had a selection of three pizza's. The Bronte with the pistachio and ham, very regal and inviting. I must say thought that I expected the pistachio to have more taste as it was so abundant on the plate (rare for pistachio dishes) but they tatsed a bit bland. The Zucotta with pumpkin was really tasty, a bit dry though. It was different from the normal pizzas you usually get but was a welcomed change. When it comes to the Carmelino with the aubergine and tomato sauce it was the classic pizza that was very tasty (you can't go wrong with this one!). Really enjoyed the fluffiness of the crusts, some of the reviews said the crust was too soggy but I didn't think it was troublesome as all the ingredients were so fresh. We had Clementia and an Amaretto Sour for our cocktails. Both gorgeously presented, one with fresh flowers the other with smoked and roasted pepper strings, a true success and both oh so very tasty! Would recommend having a cocktail if you come for dinner or just drinks, they were worthy of a true cocktail bar nomination! Perhaps if I were to say the negatives, is that the music was quite loud (and the choice of music could have been a bit less dance clubby/racaille music), the place is a bit dark too, makes it a bit difficult to see the person sitting in front. Also on the website it said they opened at 18.30 but when we arrived they said they didn't open until an hour later (so we had to go get drinks elsewhere before going back). Last but not least, the staff behind the bar was a bit too overcrowded. It seemed like some were working and others were just a bunch of friends sitting together at the bar and having a good time, didn't really feel like a professional...
Read moreTrue Neapolitan pizza with authentic Italian hospitality and style. The pizze was excellent--puffy, crisp leopard spot crusts with soft, tender interiors. Dough flavor was well developed, and sauces and toppings were all fresh and highest quality. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and service was fantastic and lightning fast. Everyone here seems to love their work and take pride in what they do. Great if you are on a short timeline or just don't want to sit in a restaurant forever.
Some reviews comment that they seem pushy to get you out, but we did not find that to be true. It is true that they serve customers very quickly, but if you want to stay and chat for a bit, they do not push. However, do not expect to sit for an hour at your table after your meal just wasting space. They have lots of customers waiting and want everyone to eat, so go elsewhere if you are expecting to hold a table for 2 hours.
A real joy to eat at. We will most...
Read moreI chose a pick-up window between 22:15 and 22:45 and noted that we would arrive around 22:30. After a long day of travel, we came straight from the airport and asked if we could eat at the restaurant instead of taking the food to go. The waiter declined, which I understand, but he did so in a surprisingly rude manner. It felt unnecessarily harsh, especially given the time and circumstances.
We didn’t want to create a scene, so we took our pizzas and left. Shortly after, I noticed they were cold. When I looked at the ticket, it showed the order was ready for pickup at 22:08 — over 20 minutes before the earliest time in the slot I selected (22:15–22:45), and well before the 22:30 arrival I had mentioned in the notes.
Overall, the service was disappointing and the experience didn’t justify the price. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. You’re better off going to Domino’s — the staff is friendlier and at least the pizza is hot...
