Having lived in three European countries for eight years, one of my greatest joys and hobbies has been to visit Korean restaurants at each travel destination.
Before coming to Brussels, I searched for Korean restaurants but found only a few that seemed worth visiting. Among them, Hana Restaurant stood out with good ratings and positive reviews about the food. We decided to visit without a reservation, arriving just before the dinner opening time at 6:30 PM. At 6:25 PM, we found the restaurant neatly arranged and clean, with all the tables and utensils set up.
The restaurant itself is not large, but it is cozy, charming, and the interior is pleasantly homely. We ordered kimchi pancake, stone pot bibimbap (with salmon), pork bulgogi (spicy pork stir-fry), and drinks—Maesil wine and beer.
To sum up, the food was truly excellent, making it one of the best Korean dining experiences I’ve had in Europe, closely resembling authentic Korean local cuisine.
The kimchi pancake was crispy and savory, and the bibimbap, with its variety of vegetables, was delightful (I highly recommend the stone pot version for the crispy rice). The pork bulgogi tasted exactly like it would in Korea, even better than the average Korean restaurant.
Overall, the service was friendly, very kind, the food was delicious, and it was a highlight of our Brussels visit. Notably, within 20 minutes of our arrival, the restaurant was almost full with local diners (not just Koreans). If you love Korean food, this place is the...

I took a salad with salmon as entree, the salad was formerly know as "mixed season vegetables" and you'd think there would be more to the salad than a few laittuce leaves sprinkled with vinegar. You'de be wrong, they cook things cheap and lame. A few vinegar leaves and 5 small slices of salmons for 12-15 € (I don't remember exactly). The mean dish which was 15-18€ was a bowl of eadible soup with a poor superspicy taste were a few crumbs of lards' fat served a "with pork" excuse. My girlfirends dishes were as costly and lame (here noodles were Aïki Noodles looks/smell/taste alike).
They are a lot of better places to go. since this restaurant is one of the worst I know in brussels.
The worst thing is Yamato (probably the best ramen of Bruxelles) is just a few step further and for half the price of this crappy food you'll get top quality food.
Read moreThe service was super friendly, and they were really interested in whether you enjoyed your food. They can speak English very well, so no problems there. The food was very good too, the bibimbap & Korean ramen were amazing (ramen a bit spicy tho). Also, the miso soup you get as a free starter had great flavor. They've got something for everyone, no matter if you enjoy spicy or mild food and even if you're new to Korean food, you'll find something you can enjoy (highly recommend bibimbap). All in all loved it there and it was the best evening I've spent on my...
