Maison du Luxembourg — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

I booked a business dinner here for a group of 20 and the staff & management were disorganised and rude. Firstly, we were promised a discreet table upstairs but when I arrived with my guests I was told that a group that had booked after us had been given this area instead, so we were on the ground floor next to the entrance. During the meal, the staff seemed confused and couldn't remember who was vegetarian etc which was stressful and surprising. It was a set menu so only a few exceptions to keep in mind. I had to help them in the end. Finally, as we were walking out the door, a member of staff ran outside and accused me, in front of all of my guests of not having paid. We hosted a business dinner at Maison du Luxembourg on September 28th, and our experience was exceptional. Our party consisted of 11 individuals, including a colleague with seafood allergy and another one who was a vegetarian. Chef Philippe Lecomte crafted a wonderful dinner that catered to all our diverse needs. The staff, as a whole, was attentive and professional, ensuring that our evening flowed seamlessly. In particular, Cedric deserves special recognition for his warmth and dedication to making our evening memorable. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Maison du Luxembourg for an unforgettable dining experience and we look forward to indulging in more of Chef Lecomte's culinary creations in the future....

I have been to this restaurant several times. Last one was a month ago. There is a new manager. This restaurant's manager is super rude ! I had a lunch meeting with an ambassador. The way he handles guests is outrageous. Who hires such a person with attitudes in a restaurant with such clientèle?? I also heard from other colleagues later that the same person is handling reservations in a very racist way. At the heart of EU district ! Terrible! I'll share this with my entourage and MEP friends.
