I couldn't get to enjoy anything from here because as the only African ethnicity family in there, we were offended by a white male staff member who walked into the restroom to demand that I should order my meal before allowing my 3 year old daughter using the restroom. Upon asking the man (a little aggressively I admit) to leave the ladies restroom and not invade my daughter's privacy he accused me of having no education.
Clearly the assumption is that as an African family we do not appreciate their offering but just want to take advantage of the facilities. This guy did not know that we drove specifically to have a decent coffee and breakfast in this lovely looking cafe before visiting a nearby salon for the later morning.
I'm happy for all the non-African people who enjoy good service here as I will not go back. As a hard working professional who was treated like this for the first time in my life, clearly I see this guy has no respect for people of colour. Why could he not wait to see if I was planning to make an order or no, or just let us come out of the loo to address...
