Scandalous Experience – Quick Toison d’Or, Brussels

This was one of the most shocking and disgraceful experiences I have ever had in a so-called “international fast food brand.”

At Quick Toison d’Or, the toilets are literally not under Quick’s control. They are outsourced to a random woman at the door who does not speak French, Dutch, or English, and who cannot even be understood by Quick’s own staff. It feels as if Quick has rented out their toilets to an alien without papers, without a license, without any visible legitimacy.

As a paying customer, I was forced to deal with this absurd situation: a basic human need like going to the toilet is turned into a shady, cash-only side business inside an international franchise. Explain to me how it makes any sense that a paying customer is asked to pay again? This is beyond logic and beyond decency.

It is also completely against Belgian consumer law (Book VI of the Code of Economic Law), which obliges restaurants to provide essential services to clients. By hiding behind the excuse “it’s not our toilet, it’s managed by someone else,” Quick is violating both the spirit and the letter of consumer protection.

This setup is dark, shady, and feels like a scam. It is unacceptable that Quick tolerates this under their brand name. Toilets are not a luxury, they are a fundamental right of the customer.

I strongly warn everyone: avoid this location at all costs. Until Quick takes back full responsibility for its own facilities and respects Belgian law, this restaurant is a disgrace...

We were quite late so the serving took a little longer tine than usual. This fast food place seems to mimic the mcdonalds dishes with some improvements and unique options and in my opinion it's succesful at what it does. We've order 2 burgers, one was biggest one with bacon, second one one of the chicken burgers. The bacon burger tasted really well, the chicken burger was well prepared but not exactly my taste. Pomm frittes were great though and the variety of dipps you can choose from is satisfying. All together the visit was a success for us and we'd visit the place again if not for a limited time...

Souraya was very disrespectful. The reason is I am pescetarian and ordered cheese nuggets however she gave me chicken nuggets and I had a bite because I thought she gave me the correct order… ;-(

However when I get back and told her about her mistake. She was looking at me and did not even say that she is sorry….

I think people should respect other people’s diets even at Atquick

Quick as a company should take action about their disrespectful and unresponsible workers…
