Get Your Mug Guillemins — Restaurant in Liège

With pleasure I’ll write why I gave 1/5 stars!! :) I went there with my partner because it is close by to the train station and it had very good reviews. Because we had more than an hour until our next train, we decided to go there to have breakfast. It took them already more than 20 minutes to take our order, but as the place was not very crowded and we still had one hour for the train we thought we had time enough. Oh, how wrong we were! We ordered one coffee, a smoothie bowl and a French toast. We got the coffee in 10 min, approx., but for the bowl it took them 40 minutes to serve it!! When we asked for the toast, they told us they were making it. However, as we were already in a rush to catch our train, we asked them if we could have it for take away. My partner had to eat his bowl in 5 minutes (as they said they couldn't serve it for take away), and by the time he was done the toast was not ready yet. At that time I just wanted to pay and leave because we were very close to miss our train, so I went to the counter to pay and get the toast. Surprisingly, they hadn’t even started to prepare it!!! So, the service was extremely EXTREMELY slow, they didn’t even care about serving the breakfasts at the same time (which I think is the bare minimum), and they lied to us saying that they were preparing the toast when they hadn’t even started. We believe the place was not busy enough to not be able to serve two breakfast in more than one hour. There were three people working there! Flat white coffee was ok (sorry we have much nicer milk in the UK and it’s hard to beat our milk-based coffee 😬) but breakfast was superb. Lovely pancakes with fruit and maple syrup for myself and the kids, my wife had the yogurt/granola bowel and found it delicious.

I thoroughly enjoyed my solo breakfast at "get your mug" in Liege. The myple syrup pancakes were a delightful treat, perfectly complemented by a flavorful cappuccino.
