Nice food court, friendly people, warm atmosphere. The table service here could be better, though, one of the waitresses was very friendly, the other guy not so much.
I had a very distressing experience here trying to buy a lemonade though. I speak French (though not perfect), and the waiter told me he couldn't serve me a lemonade on the terrace, that I'd need to get one downstairs and bring it. I was confused and understood I'd need to go inside and ask for one, and there was only one place that looked like a counter, which is where they prepare food. The lady there was extremely rude when I asked, she was flabbergasted by my question and then replied (in french): "What? Can't you see I serve food here? The bar is over there", while laughing sarcastically. There was a hint of prejudice in her tone too, probably because of my accent. I couldn't even react. Note that I live in Amsterdam and I'm used to poor service.
That event really spoiled my experience there and I would never come back, especially with so many nice places around to have a drink that have very...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our experiences here - yep, plural. There is a variety of food options and we decided to try a couple.
The first place was the taco bar, La Taqueria - we got the sample platter which gave us all of them to try. A bit pricey, but they had some delicious tacos. We went back to get seconds of our favorites 😁
The brewery had some amazing beer, and we enjoyed the flights which gave us the opportunity to try a ton of them! We definitely bought some bottles to bring home with us.
The burger joint. Yum. The flavors were delicious. Meat, bacon, cheese, red onions, sauce...etc etc.
As for the space? Has a good amount of seating throughout, ground and top floor. It also has a terrace, though we did not see the space as it was not open. There are video screens that post your order number as it's being processed, prepared, then ready for pick-up.
As for loos? I'm guessing there's construction going on as there were not any wash basins in the women's and I had to go hunting to find someplace else to...
Read moreLike every city, Liège also has its food court. Located in one part of what I assume is the old postal building, it shares the space with a coworking place. On some days the top floor and terraces are open too, so check beforehand if you want to visit those. The options are decent, it seems well organised though a bit cramped inside (the food stall part especially). The system works though, with buzzers and drinks at a seperate bar. If you’re ever in Liège I’d come here for a snack. For a full dinner I do think there are better options. Locationwise it’s very central so a good place...
