Update: pad Thai. Definitely one of the better ones around where it is not overly sweet or soggy. Will order again. chicken panang. Very flavourful without being too spicy makes it very palatable for most people. Very authentic south Asian cuisine tasting. pad see ew is a Soya sauce based stir fried noodles. I love how it has vegetables instead and the taste is totally underrated.
Fried rice is a delight! One of the best I've had in mechelen. The yellow curry is okay but could be improved to be more flavourful and less raw Tumeric taste. Everything is fresh. There is also a free tea after our meal that is very yummy but no idea what tea is that.
Would visit the place again to try the rest...

Once in a while you find a spot that is just fantastic: Thaison is that spot. It's a little shop next to the Grote Markt (Mechelen), and if you don't know about it, you might just miss it altogether. And you'd be a fool to miss it.
The food is absolutely fantastic, with a price that is unbelievable. I had the pleasure of the red beef curry, while my partner had the Pad Thai with shrimps. Both dishes were incredible, and the dude that helped us was so friendly and nice!
