O Castiço — Restaurant in Saint-Gilles - Sint-Gillis

Horrible service! Arrived at 10 PM asking for a table for 2 people and the guy was annoyed by our presence. He gave us a table and 5 minutes afterwards came to us saying that there were just 3 dishes available, listing them (with portuguese names, thank you!) without even giving us the menu! It would have been better to tell us that the kitchen was closed, before showing us the table. The waiters were arrogant and careless. I regret not standing up and leaving...

The service has become lower and lower in quality. It misses in details when once was one of the best Portuguese restaurants in Belgium. I was really disappointed the last time I was there and don't think that I will return or recommend anymore. Basically my dish came to the table too hot with olive oil jumping up. Nice atmosphere restaurant, simple but quite loud, a lot of people with tables close to each other. Staff is friendly and very quick. Cuisine is with local accent. I can recommend octopus 🐙. Unfortunately there is no English menu, and waiters does not...
