Overall, I was disappointed with the food. The other reviews make it seem like the food is exceptional, but I tend to disagree.

I follow the guys from the YouTube food channel HONGER, and this is the fourth place I've eaten at that they raved about. We had the same dishes they did: Bamya soup (with okra), Manti (ravioli filled with minced meat, with some red sauce and yogurt), Guvec (beef stew). We also had lentil soup.

Soups: Both soups were not full of flavor. They also could have been better seasoned.

Main courses: The Manti ravioli had very little meat filling, so I mainly tasted the pasta and the yogurt. The red sauce didn’t add the expected dimension to the dish.

The beef in the Guvec was not tender. Either it should have been cooked longer or a different cut of meat should have been used. The sauce tasted predominantly of tomatoes. I didn't notice any other ingredients, such as eggplant, which is also typically added.

There was also no side dish with the Guvec. The extra bulgur cost 6 euros, bringing the total to 24.50 euros for the Guvec, which is a lot for what you get.

Service: The main course was served while we were still eating our soup. A bit of a shame. Is this a sign that you should not waste time so that you can make room for the next customers? Note that reservations are not possible on weekends.

Loved our experience at this place! This family-run gem offers not only authentic Turkish cuisine but also the kind of warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like part of the family. We had delicious gözleme, lentil soup, manti and ayran.

For families with kids: When we were at the restaurant, there was an incident where a customer complained about the noisy child of another customer. The owner of the restaurant tried to handle the situation professionally and asked the customer with the child to try to be a bit quieter. The customer didn't take the feedback very well though and immediately wrote a bad Google review... The restaurant is not made specifically for kids (there are other places for that), but it is family and...

Not impressed. Unlike in some other places on the same street, you don’t get anything for free like bread or dips. The lentil soup was unsalted - totally tasteless, same for the white bean tagine. The server didn’t get our order correctly, missing one item we did order and bringing the butter flatbread which we didn’t order (we didn’t say anything as we thought this was free, but no - it was €5 as we found out at the end). The glass brought for the bottled water didn’t look clean. The homemade ayran and the coffee were good, and the coffee came in pretty cups, though the mint flavor of Turkish delight is quite unimpressive. Overall I am disappointed about the experience.
