Today 21/07/2025 , I visited this Panos location with my non-Belgian friend. While placing our order, I asked for a sandwich. As the employee began preparing it and cut into a white bread roll, I politely asked—on behalf of my friend—if it was possible to switch to grey bread. The employee immediately responded with a visibly disturbed expression, saying, “You should tell me this before.” I replied, “You could also have asked me before,” which unfortunately caused the situation to escalate.
From that point on, the atmosphere became tense. The employee seemed irritated and began mocking my language abilities, as I was doing my best to speak French and she didn’t appear to understand English.
My friend decided to step outside because he was ashamed that I answered to the bad reactions of this girl, while I stayed inside to wait for the sandwich.
Then my friend had to wait for the sandwich because for me she didn’t want to make the sandwich anymore and had to wait outside while the employee was venting all her negative emotions to my friend . When the sandwich was finally ready, I said and waved (honestly provocative ) “Good Sunday” as I was leaving (because she showed such a bad behaviour . This seemed to her make her even more mad.
In response, she began threatening to throw objects from behind the counter and even ended up breaking a glass or lamp in the process (while I was standing out of the store ) while she was yelling the most sinful things in French (that I better don’t describe ) I was shocked by the intensity of her reaction over such a minor misunderstanding.
Conclusion
This experience at this Panos left me feeling shocked and disrespected. A simple and polite request about bread was met with hostility, mockery, and ultimately aggression. While I understand that misunderstandings can happen, especially with language differences, there’s no excuse for unprofessional or threatening behavior in a customer-facing role. I hope Panos takes this feedback seriously and ensures proper training is in place so that all customers—regardless of background or language—are treated with basic dignity...

I have to take the train everyday for my work and I buy my breakfast and lunch here almost everyday so trust my review. Their snacks and sandwiches and fresh, the guys at the counter are friendly and their service is very fast! Sometimes I am a bit late and have to rush to the platform these guys are the best! Je me permets de vous écrire afin de vous faire part de mon mécontentement concernant un achat que j’ai effectué récemment dans l’un de vos points de vente.
Le 26-08-2024 à 8:30, j’ai acheté un panini dans l’un de vos établissements Panos. Dès la première bouchée, j’ai immédiatement constaté que quelque chose n’allait pas : la viande n’était pas fraîche, le pain était fade et manquait de croustillant. Ce premier constat m’a déjà déçu, mais la situation s’est encore aggravée lorsque je suis retourné sur place le lendemain pour vérifier l’état des autres paninis.
En effet, le 27-08-2024 a 7:30, j’ai remarqué que tous les paninis proposés étaient dans un état similaire : le fromage et le jambon étaient visiblement secs, et aucun des produits ne semblait frais. J’ai signalé la situation au caissier qui m’a malheureusement confirmé que les paninis étaient les mêmes que ceux exposés la veille, sans avoir été remplacés.
Je trouve cette situation inacceptable, tant pour des raisons de qualité que de sécurité alimentaire. Je vous demande donc de bien vouloir prendre les mesures nécessaires pour éviter que ce genre d’incident ne se reproduise et d’assurer que les produits que vous proposez à vos clients respectent les standards de fraîcheur et de qualité attendus.
