I pass by Black pearls often while at airport. The last time, I took one of the take away boxes. Today I decided to sit down there and eat. The miso soup was delicious and the portion for 6€ was fine although it was funny when the waiter asked me if I wanted a life of bread with it. The sushi I took was well presented but did not match the picture on the menu. The wasabi and seaweeds came in one small bowl which made it hard towards the end to separate them from each other but the taste was good. The prices are high even for good quality, in my opinion. Service was friendly but found it strange that the waitress indirectly ask my for Tipp when I was paying by asking me if she should add Tipp to the amount of the meal.

I come here regularly thanks to the Amex offer and I must say that the service and quality level is consistently high. The staff is great and among all of them, the gentleman with the red glasses really stands out. His attentiveness and customer service is exceptional, it is always a pleasure to be served by him. Also, the value for money is not too bad considering the location. The breakfast is a good option as well.

when i saw the €27 price tag on the croquettes at the black pearl, i assumed i was about to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gastronomic adventure. for that price, i didn’t just expect croquettes—I expected a transcendent experience. i thought they might arrive under a glass dome, unveiled in a puff of truffle-scented smoke, accompanied by a tiny string quartet playing vivaldi in the corner. i half-expected the chef to come out and whisper the origin story of each ingredient. i imagined the croquettes would melt in my mouth, unlocking childhood memories i never even had, and leave me spiritually transformed.

instead, what i got tasted like croquettes someone reheated at 3am after a night out, for the second time, and after they were out for the two...

I am very surprised about the poor food quality for such an expensive place…?? Service was good and the place itself is cute located at Brussels Airport. Partly owned by Autogrill group that have enough means and employees to make this place great. Especially in such a top notch spot. The fish soup at 25€ was very small and had barely no fish in it and the Shrimp croquettes were kinda hard with barely no stuffing inside..the fried herbs that you usually serve it with wasn’t even there and there was not fresh fries option ..looking at your reviews, you guys need to wake up and take care of that place that won’t last long...
