De Trompet — Restaurant in Ypres

Sat sipping my 4th pint while writing this review, the food was excellent i had a steak, the wife had the fish casserole. Both portions were filling and were of a good size. The staff are friendly and very good at English so adventurers do not be put off! We have had an excellent time. There is indoor and two outdoor seating areas; one attatched to the building and one in the market square. Could not recommend this place more its a real delight do not be put off come experience...

The Food is not worth the Price. We bought the Kroketten and only got one small piece for 11€ . On the menu Outside was written 14€ for the Caesar salad, but in the card they wanted 22€. The Waiters weren’t capable of telling us the difference between the kids menu and the entrance. They told us one would be less and the other a smaller portion. In the end they wanted us to pay 12€, so we told them the menu price of 11€ and then they suddenly agreed that they would be...

Excellent service, very friendly waiter. Not many restaurants that say they can cook a steak blue but this one actually can. So recommend the steak at €24. Also the carbonara is very nice and a good sized portion for €13.50. Price I think are very reasonable for the quality as the quality is very high. Even on a Sunday night in Belgium sat down for dinner at 9pm. Location is excellent infront of the old cloth...
