Modern restaurant situated in the main square in Ieper.

The location is good and the waiting staff are very pleasant. We opted for the set menu number 2, starter of prawns with salad, entrecôte steak and apple pie with ice cream and cream. The prawns were very nice, the apple pie super tasty but the steak was very disappointing. It was cooked blue, as I like it, but it was hard work using the knife to cut it. So that was disappointing and I was going to give three stars but the starter and desert combined with the service kept it at four stars.

As 8 o’clock approached we wanted to see the service at the Menin Gate, yet we hadn’t had our desert. We explained to the waitress who very kindly agreed to keep our table and for us to return after the service; which was very good of her.

So a relaxing evening with good service but an entrecôte that could definitely be a lot better.

Popped in here for dinner after a long day sightseeing in the area and it was very quiet midweek so we had no issue getting a table inside by the window. Straight into the main course and I had vegetable tagliatelle with Boursin and my partner had the Angus burger premier. Both meals were hot and very good. My pasta had lovely fresh veg and the sauce was creamy. My partners burger looked incredible! It had a runny fried egg on top and the burger was cooked just to his liking. We managed to squeeze in a waffle to share for pudding which was fluffy and light, beautiful. Staff very friendly and welcoming and prices really good we thought considering the location in the main...

Food was nice enough, but compared to other meals we've had so far in Belgium just wasn't great.

Service was not good. Slow to acknowledge and serve us, brought menus only to be told kitchen wasn't open yet when we tried to order. All a bit of a farce.

We sat on the terrace as we had our two little dogs. It was a bit grubby. Our dogs had a chew each. One of the waitresses kicked one of them to the bin as she passed (one purpose). Not great!

Won't come back. There's a lot of choice in Ypres. This place needs...
