Our trip to Belize was almost two months ago but I still think fondly of our time staying at the Brahma Blue and visiting the Coconut Cafe daily. The owner, Chris is one of the coolest, most down to earth folks you could meet. His passion for food, good vibes and music is evident. We came with a large group of people (50 adults and over 30 children) and not only was Chris so kind to accommodate all of us, he even set up a space for us to jam to some music and sing for two nights of our stay on the island. The servers Gil and Lisa are the friendliest and most attentive! Gil makes wicked cocktails and Lisa’s presence is like a big warm hug. The food - well, it’s absolutely phenomenal! Everything on the menu was full of flavor and fresh ingredients. The coconut curry chicken, coconut shrimp, ceviche, garden salad and lobster were our group’s favorite picks. Would highly recommend! So worth the short trip on the speed boat from San Pedro, and it’s a free boat ride for guests of the restaurant!

The Coconut CafĂ© in San Pedro, Belize, is an absolute gem! We stopped in after a dive and were blown away by both the drinks and the food. Their fiery watermelon mojito was one of the best cocktails we’ve ever had—refreshing, perfectly balanced, and with just the right kick of spice to make it unforgettable. On top of that, they serve authentic German food that tastes homemade and full of flavor. The combination of tropical cocktails and genuine German dishes makes this cafĂ© stand out from the rest in San Pedro. If you’re visiting Ambergris Caye and looking for great food, unique cocktails, and friendly service, The Coconut CafĂ© is a must-try. Highly recommend for anyone searching for the best restaurants in San Pedro Belize or the top spots for cocktails in Ambergris Caye. We’ll definitely be back!

Chris and his team presented and incredible meal for our party. They recommended the fresh Hog fish, Lobster, crab and shrimp with sides and out of all the great meals we had during our 7 day stay this was by far the best. The hog fish was perfectly cooked whole with a crispy and flavorful skin and moist and flakey meat. The lobster was presented in two ways and both were out of this world. The food was way more than our party of four could eat so we invited them to break bread with us and it was a fabulous conversation with everyone. This is a special place and the best kept secret on the island right now. I cannot recommend Coconut cafe enough.

I'll admit I was famished. I would have eaten a cold hotdog in a stale bun. But I know well-prepared food. I can rank my four best meals ever. Two have been in Four Seasons Restaurants. The very best was in Toronto. Third was in New York City, and fourth was at an Italian restaurant in Kansas City called Jaspers. This meal placed second in my 62 years. It was a blackened Red Snapper with an orange beurre blanc sauce over a mango corn salsa. A picture is attached. The fish had a lightly crisped crust, was flavored with a tinge more spice than my wife's meal, and it melted in my mouth with a flurry of garden fresh flavors that would have made any artist blush. Chris, the chef, could read our faces. Words were not going to do justice, despite our efforts. It was like trying to describe DeBussy's Clair de Lune. You have to hear it to truly appreciate it. And it was guilt-free. All within legal bounds of our diet. Bravo Maestro!

Now, I can only thank God that they don't have a wine list with a 2010 Corton Charlemagne white burgundy on the menu, because that would have paled Handel's Messiah, ruined my diet, and my budget. My advise to you is to get to Coconut Cafe and experience the genius of this young man before either Leo DiCaprio or Francis Ford Coppola makes one of his Belize trips, visits the Cafe, and steals this man away as his private chef.

Gabriel, I hope you appreciate these two guys. They have made Coconut Cafe into a restaurant capable of wings and beer or a five-star dining experience, free of pretension, and wayyyy underpriced in value. I'll be back each trip to Belize...

🌮 Coconut Cafe - A Hidden Gem! 🌮

I recently visited Coconut Cafe, and it exceeded all my expectations! This isn’t just a cafe; it’s a place where you want to spend the entire evening enjoying the atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service.

🍮 Food: The menu is diverse and thoughtfully crafted. Every dish is prepared with care, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The fresh coconut desserts and the Asian-inspired main courses stood out the most. The presentation is stunning, like something straight out of a gourmet magazine!

💁 Service: The staff here are true professionals. They are polite, attentive, and always ready to help with recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about making every guest feel welcome.

đŸŽ€ Special Highlight: The cafe’s owner, Chris, is not only a master of hospitality but also an incredible singer. His live performances add a magical touch to the atmosphere. Dining here feels like enjoying a private concert.

Coconut Cafe is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again and we did 3 times! It’s the perfect combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and live music! If you haven’t been here yet, make sure to visit — you won’t regret it.

✹ Rating: 10/10! Highly...
