Outstanding, just phenomenal experience. Check sunset times and arrive 20-30 minutes ahead of that. We sat at the southwest corner table 420 and our sunset view was spectacular. Even better, the helicopter service brought some people in around that time and landed at the helipad across the street so we got a good view of that. The food was exemplary. We started with wine and the white walker drink (highly recommended) and the conch fritters. Lobster was out of season but we asked for the mango habanero sauce to go with our fritters. The chicken parmesan and spaghetti dinner I had was the right amount of food and was as good as any I've had at an Italian place. So good! My kids had the fettuccini with shrimp and my wife had the Snook fish with rice. Everybody loved their food. The dessert was also primo: chocolate lava cake. Oscar was our waiter so ask for him. He was an excellent server for us and highly recommended. Don't miss out on this Rain sunset dinner experience. Best food I have had on Ambergis. March 2024 update: still outstanding but wish Oscar was still a waiter there. Rain still has the best views and some of the best food on the island for sure. Make sure you get there before sunset. The staff were excellent and had our corner table to see the sunset reserved. My tuna was perfect and the drinks and desserts were all wonderful. Easy and convenient parking if you are driving from downtown San Pedro.

A fine restaurant with a beautiful view, Rain provided my group of three with the best meal we have had, not only in Belize but anywhere in a while. Let's get the negatives out of the way: - It was a bit warmer than we would have liked - There were a ton of mosquitoes for a short period right at sunset - There were clouds on the horizon, somewhat obstructing the end of the sunset Of course, none of this could be controlled by the excellent staff at Rain. (They even had OFF bug spray for anyone who asked) The staff was very attentive and professional. On to the meal: We started with both the Grouper Cakes and the Clams and Mussels a la Champagne and both were excellent. The sauce on the clams was sublime. For our entrees we enjoyed lobster Thermidor, Bleu Cheese encrusted Filet Mignon and Cashew Encrusted Grouper. All three meals were excellently prepared and delicious. We finished off the meal with an out of this world carrot cake and coffee. The entire meal, including cocktails, came in right around $215, which is on the high side for Belize but incredibly inexpensive compared to similar meals in the States. Before leaving we already decided that if and when we return to Belize, Rain will be one of our must-have stops.

Visited to celebrate a Birthday and was left kinda dissapointed. Some food items were better than others. The food taste wasnt bad but trying out other areas in San Pedro this spot was a dissapointment jusr because i expected more. The food was good but didnt really blow my mind. Food plate decoration was good, and def will want to take pictures but the taste to many of the items were not impressive. I actuslly gave half my lobster to a friend and another friend left her steak almost untouched. Everyone will have their own experience but i wasnt happy with the food. Their special drinks selection was weak. They look good but I personally as dissapointed. They had a musician who was def the best part of the place. Their server and service def top notch. Great views and def a good late night location. I would recommend but def becsuse of tge atmosphere NOT the food. Doubt ill return and thats the dissapointment.

I was unimpressed, on every level. The service was horrible, the gentleman took forever to come to the table and take our order. We had 8 pm reservations and we didn’t leave until almost 10 pm. It wouldn’t have been so bad because we get it, it’s vacation. This came after our order finally showed up to the table an hour and 15 mins after dinner started.

My husbands meal was chicken fettuccine Alfredo, they brought him chicken pesto. After saying something nicely about how that wasn’t his order the server proceeded to argue with him in the middle of the restaurant. He went so far as to check what he wrote down, only to find out it was his mistake. He quickly apologized and said, because of my mistake I’ll give you 10% off your meal. 🙄

This again would have been fine, but another 1/2 hour passed with no food, my husband ate the leftover pasta from my daughters meals meanwhile and we finally started getting up from the table to just pay and leave.

I definitely pulled somewhat of a Karen at that point, they charged us for the second meal they still hadn’t brought out. I asked the server if it was a joke and he looked confused. Dude, almost 2 hours and you haven’t even brought the food out that you had to remake and now have the balls to charge us for it. I told him to take it off the bill. At this point my husbands meal finally shows up at 9:43 pm. They decided to take it off the bill and boxed it up for us. What a service nightmare, not to mention that you will pay 22.00 US for chicken Alfredo. Not worth it. Additionally, my veggie risotto was undercooked, but I was too tired to mention it, and my daughters pasta was soggy and...

we start by walking in asking to sit in an area that looked nice we where denied that request. We settled for an area with no view cause we hadn’t had anything to eat all day the waiter greets I ask for bread before we order he said “sure” I’ll be back to take your order shortly then for ten minutes he’s chatting it up with the hostess he finally comes back he takes our order and I have to ask him a second time for bread and butter he said “I told you it’s coming” super rude but okay the food might be good so I don’t get upset the food took a solid 30min to get to our table it looked good I thought I might enjoy this meal I was wrong I had the Chicken Parmesan... I had to spit the chicken out several times mean while the hostess is playing the most vulgar vile music in the background from her own playlist and that tells you what kind of woman she is but I’ll leave the lyrics out of this to save your braincells anyway as I’m at this now awkward meal with my family my uncle offers me some of his steak now this is a 50$ Ribeye so it must be good I’ve never tasted such a disgusting ribeye that steak shouldn’t even be fed to my dog much alone humans the ribeye tasted like the trash you smell being burnt around San Pedro absolutely disgusting place I can go on longer but I’m sure you get the point this place has DISGUSTING MUSIC, HORRIBLE SERVICE, POOR FOOD, BAD RESTAURANT...
